3macaroooooons, must of been a typo.
Some people prefer saying "macarons" because the ones you see are just like the French macarons and nothing like the American coconut macaroons.
4I normally call them French macaroons, but Tartelette (who's post it is) refers to them as macarons, so I thought I'd leave it that way. They're interchangeable as far as I know.
