Yesterday marked the kick-off of the 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Think of it as spring break for the culinary elite. While Hollywood may be galavanting off to Los Angeles for the Oscars, your favorite chefs and Food Network personalities are hanging out on the beach, drinking beer, eating burgers, playing poker, and having what looks like tons of fun.

12I would have loved to be there. I love Paula, she's so funny and all the recipes she shares come out perfectly (unlike some other chefs on foodtv). It's weird seeing Giada pregnant, but wonderful at the same time. I wonder if the baby will be just as cute as her.

20I went to this yesterday! It was even more amazing than it looks. Came back stuffed (and tipsy). I definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about making the trip to South Florida!
