On Thursday night I went to a swanky little launch party at the sleek Zephyr Showroom. The highlight of the evening — hosted by San Francisco's Junior League — wasn't the drinks or the decor, but the cylindrical appetizer holder! Heads turned as the caterers walked by holding the long skinny pole with skewered salmon sticking out of it. I loved it and immediately wanted one. My only concern is whether or not it has a stand. I normally don't have caterers and passed appetizers at home events, so a stand that could sit on the table is essential. What do you think?

Those are awesome! I was at a lounge-tapas thing before a show where they had a room set up with these cylinders scattered about. It was like a treasure hunt - some garlic shrimp here, some spicy chicken there. They were a little awkward to manage with a napkin and drink in your hands as well, but it was nice to not have to hunt down a waiter every time you wanted a snack
.
I like it. Easy access for everyone to grab something.
I don't like it...I think a tray looks nicer.
maybe for cold appetizers, but I feel like warm appetizers would get cold very quickly when they are served like this.
This is an ideal example of trying too hard. Clear lucite stripper poles of skewered appetizers will not make your party cooler or your food better.
It's kinda weird to me.
I like this for sanitary reasons (I think that's important at a party)
i like the idea, but solely for food that's aesthetically pleasing. it's all in the presentation!
different...
godeats, Stripper pole! That was great! With any luck, Paris Hilton would be at such a party, kick back a few appletinis and skewer herself on the offerings!
Ah fuzzles, when I read the comment about a stripper pole, you know I immediately thought of paris too.....
I think a tray looks better.
that kind of scares me a little. i don't think that i like it
this reminds me of the lollipop displays at a check-out counter at walmart or somewhere.
Just...ick.
