    totonlaura,

You should be able to find mascarpone in the deli cheese area of your local grocer in little tubs. Years back it was only available in "high end" grocery stores or Italian delis. Just a few days ago, I noticed that my SuperValue grocery store was carrying it in their deli case. Progress! Also, if you google "mascarpone substitutions," you will find acceptable alternatives based on the recipe that calls for it. From the sound of this recipe, none of us should miss out on it because of mascarpone-lessness! Smiling

Love mascarpone in anything...tiramisu is my all time fav. These look amazing .. but I have the same issue with finding it. I have to drive an hour to a specialty story.... Sad

I'm making some up Sunday to have for desert. We'll have chorizo stuffed burgers and cheesey fries first. This could set a record for fat intake.

I made mascarpone brownies a couple weeks ago. They are *divine* but you definitely have to cut it into tiny pieces. More than about 3 bites and it was too much for me. And I loooove chocolate, so that says how rich these are.

i made these today and they were absolutely delicious, i skipped the ganache (not a fan of it at all and it wud hv made it too sweet) and added walnuts (love nuts)and it still was very rich, a small piece really satisfies your sweet tooth and thts gud 'cos then u wont eat extra calories Smiling
