According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, the first
Oreo was sold on March 6, 1912. This makes the Oreo ninety-six years old. To celebrate, I thought I'd round up some tasty Oreo-inspired treats. From bread pudding to liquid treats, there's something for everyone. So go ahead and buy a package and whip up one of these delectable delights. (Use Newman O's instead)
For future reference, I don't really like the slide shows; or would prefer a "View All" option. I just want to quickly browse the treats all on one page, not go through 10 clicks and page loads...
I don't really like the slide shows either, but those recipes, wow! I would try all of them. Makes me want to throw an Oreo-themed party.
I have made the Oreo truffles many times. They are super easy to make, and are sooo delicious and decadent.
Yummy Oreos!!
Yum.
Sounds good.
i love making things with oreos, they're so yummy and versatile when baking. You can add crushed up ones in just about anything that requires some crumble or crunch.
Yum, only I would definitely use Newman O's not oreos.
Only my most favorite cookies ever....I can't wait to try these. I'll have to make the husband watch the baby so I can get in the kitchen one of these nights.
I have an idea not on there...i am still perfecting it, but here ya go: dip an oreo cookie in brownie batter, and bake it in the oven. I think you would need to use the "cake like" directions for box brownies, as the fudgy recipe runs off (enough stayson the oreo for it to be incredible though). I made these with inside out oreos, and the brownie batter softens the outer part of the cookie....it is AWESOME. you have to keep an eye on them though and not over or under cook.
I think cravinsugar's idea is the best one yet!!
they look amazing, will try to make them!!thanks
I'm with Tidal Wave.
Thanks cravinsugar. I've never baked with cookies. Every year a student of mine (8th grade) will write an essay about how they cook these amazing cakes with Twix bars and Snickers...OMG... Too yummy for words
Oreos...my weakness!
The Oreo truffles are the best yummy!
