A couple of years ago I stumbled upon this recipe for a homemade version of Baileys Irish Cream. I love Baileys — it's an exceptional dessert drink —and this frothy version is to die for. I've made it for parties, given it as a hostess gift, and simply enjoyed it by myself.
It's one of my most treasured recipes and I highly recommend you make it. All you need is a blender and it comes together in minutes. For best results, chill the ingredients before making. To take a look at how it's done, read more.
From Gail's Recipe Swap
Ingredients
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 pint whipping cream
3 eggs
3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 oz. Irish whiskey* (suggested Jameson)
Directions
- Mix all of the ingredients in blender and refrigerate.
- Shake before using
- Enjoy chilled over ice.
Serves 6-8.
*I used American whiskey instead of Irish because that is what I had in my liquor cabinet.

party - thank you so much for posting this. my husband will flip when I make this for him. He already calls me a "magician" for the meals I make - so I can only imagine what I'd be if I could make his favorite drink right at home!
1Cool! I'm making this!
2This sounds great!
3Oh to be sure. Jack O Daniels will work fine. Going to chill some up in the O kitchen tonite.
4Does something in the alcohol "cook" the eggs? Just wondering!
5blondelawyer: I don't think so. Many cocktails have raw eggs in them. Look at egg nog, for example.
6I'm not a fan...
7hmm... raw eggs, fresh cream. I guess you could substitue Egg Beaters of something similar, which is lower cholesterol and pastuerized.
This is interesting, but I thik I'll jsut stick to the real deal though - it doesn't have to be refrigerated!
8Sounds great!
9I love love love this recipe! So good!
10wow, this is awesome! thanks for posting this
11Fancy straw and glass there.
12I might try this w/o the eggs. I was just going to drink Guinness this weekend.
Def using for my bday party!!! Well, minus the egg yolks b/c I'm allergic. Cant wait to try it!
13sounds tasty and it looks good. nice picture.
14Yum!
15Baileys is the beverage of choice in my family! It has been for years, so I think this would be excellent for family gatherings during summertime.
16Since I can see my breath outside, and am wearing a sweater inside, I'd say this wouldn't be my first choice right now...
I'm going to have to try this!
17the eggs are kind of scaring me.
18but i'll try it without!
raw eggs, ew. and a health risk.
19...Why's everyone freaking out over eggs? Seriously, it's eggs. Not aliens with ray guns.
20Oh yah. Forgot to add: sounds yummy, will definitely give it a try.
21Forget my head next.
So ready to try this! I LOVE Baileys!!! Thanks!
22This is so going into my sister's holiday gift basket!! She is a total Baileys lover! I might omit the eggs, not from a health standpoint, but because she is allergic to them. This sounds so yummy!
23My Mom has been making a similar recipe for years & has passed it along to my sister & myself. I don't have the recipe in front of me, but I think we use almond extract instead of coconut & I know we add some instant coffee for flavor...the rest sounds pretty similar though. I know a lot of people look forward to getting a homemade bottle of baileys from us every year & I'd hate to disappoint them!
