You may have seen beautiful latté art before, but have you ever seen latté art with text? How about cups of joe with intricate patterns and images? If you haven't, then you're in for a treat. Inventor Oleksiy Pikalo has taken an old X-Y flatbed plotter — a machine similar to a printer — and converted it into a latté art machine. With it he can program different images and patterns to display on top of his morning coffee. This image is one he created, and you can see the machine at work — it's really pretty fascinating — when you watch the video. To check it out, just read more.

OMG.... that is too amazing....I'm so impressed... coffee chains are going to be paying megabucks to have this in their coffee shops!!
Not as cool as real latte art IMHO. Now that is skill.
thats awesome stuff!
but i prefer the classic way, free style baby
that's really cool for an event or something along those lines when you know that presentation matters. for myself though, it would be a waste since i'm never staring into the top of my drink
It's pretty cool, but not nearly as impressive as when someone makes the art by hand.
I would enjoy more my latte like this. hahah!
A cool idea, especially for marketing and PR, but I'm much more amazed by the latte art created by people. Now that is talent!
I think things done by hand are better. That's also why I don't like computer animation. The machine version lacks in charm.
Very cool indeed!
That is AWESOME! I love it! Talk about a great conversation piece if you have friends over for dinner or coffee.
It's cool but they should develop something that works faster. By the time this is done, you'll be drinking cold coffee.
whoa!!!
Cool!
