Malbec
A red grape variety used for making wine. In the Bordeaux region of France, in California, and in other parts of the world, the Malbec grape variety is usually used as a blending component with Cabernet-based wines. In Cahors, a southwestern region in France, it is blended with Merlot. In Argentina, on the other hand, it is widely planted and frequently bottled solo.
Malbecs tend to be fairly deep in color with dark berry flavors and a fair amount of tannin. A rustic, mid-bodied wine that is great with pork, veal, and spicy foods.

1Agentinian Malbec is one of my favorite wines and it is sensibly priced. Yum, yum.... I think the house is Mendoza, but color me braindead today!
2As if, the wine pictured is also Mendoza.... so yep that is the house, I have not tried that one, but now must. A bottle of wine and Lost tonite.... my night cannot be better.
3Mendoza is actually the region where the wine is produced. Think Napa is to California as Mendoza is to Argentina.
4There is a casa de mendoza, I am pretty certain. Could be the region as well, but I know there is a house, I have drank their wine. Sadly too much of it. But looking at the bottle above it is not from casa de mendoza but mendoza argentina, so you are right! I am gonna have to check that out... a wine lover I am, connesieur? not quite!

5The province in Argentina where most of the best Argentine wines is produced is called Medoza, therefore it is associated with some of the best wines from the country. MALBEC is the KING of wine in Argentina. Try it, its my fav!!!! I love Trapiche or Nieto Senitener Malbecs, which you can find here in the US.

7Mendoza is a great place to visit, if you travel to argentina, Mendoza is something that you can't miss..
