When I was in college, one of my pals introduced me to the weirdest concoction: Pepsi Milk. And yes, it's exactly what it sounds like, Pepsi and milk mixed together at last. The end result is actually way tastier than it seems (think about a Pepsi float once the ice cream has started to melt) and I surprisingly enjoyed it on more than one occasion.
Now, many years later, I was searching for references to Pepsi Milk and discovered that my crazy friend did not invent this drink on her own. In fact it was enjoyed on national television by one Penny Marshall (aka Laverne De Fazio from Laverne & Shirley). Rumor has it that Penny Marshall enjoyed them in real life and had it written into Laverne's character.

Pepsi Milk
1/2 cup of whole white milk (you can use your favorite kind, but the higher the fat content, the higher the flavor)
1/2 cup of Pepsi
Pour milk into glass.
Top with Pepsi.
Stir if desired.

2Just to let you know, this is older than her...my grand father used to do this and introduced it to me when i was 11. Also try adding Hershey's chocolate syrup. MMMMM. This has been around forever as he used to do it as a child.

5A friend from college used to drink something like this (using cream), but he called it a Cockroach! It is yummy, whatever you call it.
6when I was a teenager, Seventeen magazine published all these drink recipes involving milk, and one of them was diet coke + chocolate milk. I drank that stuff for years (and all my friends made fun of me).
7When I was little, my Grandma and Grandpa had friends that came up from San Jose. I would get so excited that the Wishes were coming to visit. Mr. Wish would make me DR. PEPPER and MILK, served in a big cup with ice! It was the BEST, yummy.
8My sister and I used to make fun of the Milk and Pepsi idea until we actually tried it. It's good! If you ad chocolate syrup it's sort of like an egg cream (chocolate syrup, milk, seltzer)

11I guess it doesn't sound so weird if you think of it as something similar to an ice-cream float, but I have to admit I shuddered when I read the recipe! Someone please try this and report back...LOL

13I enjoy a good root beer float, but I would never mix milk and root beer. It just seems unnatural. I cant dispute that a PepsiMilk tastes good though.
