Last week I saw a can of juice I'd never seen before: pomegranate-flavored aloe juice from Korean company J1. The color was a vivid orange-pink, and although it looked like one solid color, there were actually bits of floating chunks in it. The almost-invisible chunks are the aloe, and they have the consistency of somewhat thick Jello. I was surprisingly pleased by this drink, and liked the way it tasted. It was a light pomegranate flavor and was cool and refreshing. The texture was a little odd — it was slimy and thick at the same time — and the whole thing made me think of dessert. I would definitely try it again, and yet I can see how the texture would really bother some people. Are you one of those people, or would you drink this juice?

i'd take a sip probably.
After reading the ingredients i would answer.
Considering what aloe vera smells like when it isn't fresh, I'd be reluctant. But then again, I don't think anyone is using stinky aloe vera for it. I'd try it.
j1 aloe is yummy - can't wait to try the pomegranate aloe juice!
I'd definitely give it a sip.
I love aloe juices. They taste sweet, but not sickeningly sweet the way a soda can sometimes.
When I lived in Spain, my friend had this huge aloe vera plant. It was so cool, he would cut off leaves and we would use it like lotion. Now I wish I would have put the juice into a cocktail!
I fell in love with aloe juice on a recent trip to Japan! I have been craving it for the last three months. It's delicious and quite different. I think it also might help make your throat soft
I already have. it was unflavored and I didn't hate it, but it tasted weird.
No! Never again! my old hair stylist use to serve this junk in his salon. It was like drinking snot and the taste was putrid.
i think the texture would throw me of fit- i'd try it- but i don't even like pulp in my oj- chunks in my drink might be too much
I've been meaning to buy some of this lately, but I don't want to spend the 2.50 on it.
i love love love love aloe drinks!
sooooooooooooo yummmy!!!!
i recommend for everyone!!!!
I LOVE aloe juice!! I've never had it w/ pom juice, so that would be very interesting. My boyfriend and I stock up when we go to the Korean market (much cheaper there than the Japanese stores). Its so yummy & its very good for your skin! =) Bonus!
I've recently started drinking aloe juice. Its unbelievably refreshing! Just like aloe itself... obviously.
Not a fan of plain aloe juice. I love pom juice, though, so I would give this a try.
Aloe can be incredibly good for you. I'd be interested to see how it is derived. I know Manapol is super high quality and really good for you. If it was potent and healthy like that I would try it - otherwise I'll stick to the Manapol!
it looks like little tadpoles are swimming in there. I enjoy bubble tea but those little "bubbles" are edible. Is aloe????
My family used to always have big gallons of aloe juice in the fridge at all times. It wasn't bad. But it didn't have "chunks" - yikes.
YES! I LOVE ALOE WATER/JUICE! It is sooooo yummy. I wish I could find it more readily without having to go into Koreatown to get it.
BEST STUFF!
Its really refreshing
I don't drink stuff with chunks in it.
While I probably wouldn't drink the stuff myself (chunks gross me out), I would be hesitant to recommend it to any of my patients either- Aloe vera can be quite irritating to the stomach and GI system when taken internally. (It used to be sold as a laxative before the FDA herbal law in 2002) Just be careful with these herbal products... aloe juice does interact with some prescription and OTC medications! Make sure if you are drinking this frequently your doctor and pharmacist know
Doesn't sound to pleasing but I guess I can't knock it till I have tried it. I have a huge aloe vera plant in my kitchen that I use when I burn myself. How can I go about to make my own aloe vera drink? What are the benefits of drinking this? You have my curiousity level up now
Sounds interesting. I'd have to give it a try.
sounds good to me!
I'd add gelatin and make pomegrante-flavored aloe jell-o!
I don't know about this one. I guess if I had a chance to taste test it I would.
chunks and slimy sounds yucky!
This is a very typical beverage option in Singapore and most drink machines have many aloe-spiked beverages to chose from. It shocked the hell out of me the first time I got one by accident! I'm very much a non-chunky drink girl and to get a mouth full of gummy texture was horrifying! My daughter and husband love it though. I suspect it's too weird to catch on in any big way in the US.
This sounds like a good way to drink your aloe...I always have a hard time getting myself to drink it even though I know it is good for me. For those of you that don't know, aloe is excellent for your digestive track...
Regular aloe juice is really gross. But if it were flavored I might give it another shot.
never had one - but those chunks look pretty visible to me, yum...
The first time I had a drink with aloe bits in it in Singapore I almost gagged...but I guess you get used to them eventually.
OMG I LOVE Aloe Juice!!!!!!!!!! It's soooo good. Really popular in Asia. And it's healthy too!
I love this stuff! I've never had this flavor but it looks good. I'm also a fan of the traditional jelly grass drink. mmmm!
My boss drinks aloe juice apparently its really good but I can't bring myself to try it.
It's also big in the mexican community too. Except the aloe comes in a jar and you add it to other juices. They call it Savila which I think is just spanish for the aloe plant. My MIL says it good for cleansing the system. So yeah a nice way of saying laxative. It's not my cup of tea, but my husband likes it.
Eh maybe...
I've been drinking Aloe juice with honey for a while now. It took me ages to get used to the unusual texture.
J1 is a little bit too thick for my taste. I prefer Its The Sun/ El Sol that I get at the 99c only stores! Its much lighter and tastier imo.
LOL. Way to go user named "Silver" a typical western doctor hating on a natural remedy. Oh noes . I hope people don't live well and healthy lives. That might EFF up the whole medical industry in America. Then what will I do? I will I afford my Porche and Big Mansion on the hill if everyone is needlessly dying? Better squash that aloe stuff now before my patients find out about it.
I have started drinking aloe vera juice. I get them at the local Korean market. I like the grape flavored one--it is surprisingly tasty! I heard it was good for acid reflux. I think it helps. I've only been drinking it regularly for the past week or so, but it seems like when I wake up, I don't have that bad burning sensation anymore.
wgere do you get it .?
this sh*t is hellllla good!
You can find it at Big Lots, this actual drink for 50 cents a can
I think it's
great!!!
ive had aloe vera juice before, so why not i would try this
I just got 1 can at Big Lots for .50 and LOVE it! I will be going back and buying the rest of the cans off the shelf! The so called "chucks" sounds negative, but really are marinated pieces of aloe that have the texture of orange pulp. If you have serious health issues you may feel the need to run it by your medical professional (one who has a medical "practice") but it is known by many that aloe juice is very healthy and should benefit the body as opposed to doing damage as suggested by "Fidgit"-#23 (love the come back Anonymous-#42) LOL. It would probably taste good in a mixed drink, but since I'm on a health kick, I'm going to enjoy it on the rocks and pretend it's spiked with Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum!
