Remember when Robert Irvine got canned from Food Network, and how it was a bit shocking? Especially because it was hard to believe someone could embellish his resumé so much and get away with it for so long? Well, in the current issue of US Weekly, Robert Irvine has finally decided to say something. When asked about it, Irvine said:
I'm human and I do make mistakes. It's liberating having this behind me.
And like the tough guy he comes across as, Irvine is going to pick up where he left off and try new things. He's grateful for his fans and hopes to have another TV show in the future. He may also do more charity work for the military.
So what do you folks think? Would you watch another Robert Irvine TV show? Or is he over in your book?

It's show biz and unfortunatley it is just a reflection of the times we live in - I don't know if I would watch a new show or not - what does it say about the people/network who would hire him?
1I may watch it. I really liked Dinner Impossible. I think it's horrible that he embellished his resume so much, but I'd still enjoy watching him.
2nothing like cheating to build up ambition!
3I think he is hilarious and he makes yummy food (my boyfriend and i have made some of his recipes) so i would definitely watch him if he got another show! Plus i don't think what he did was hugely wrong...i think most people exaggerate a little on their resumes.
4I don't understand how the Food Network didn't check into his resume! I loved Dinner Impossible- it is one of the better shows that the Food Network has put on in the past few years. I would watch a new show of his as long as it still showcased his creativity and sense of humor.
5I'm done with him, I loved Dinner Impossible, but so much of what he said on that show was referencing these things that turned out to be lies...I sort of just stopped watching, and never really looked back. I don't think I will watch another show with him. I won't deny he seemed like a great chef, but I don't feel the need to add another show of his to my "to watch" list...
6I actually liked the series. I never really noticed or cared about his background just that he cooked since that was all I watched the series for anyhow. He did a good job on the show. If he wants to do a new series I will probably like it since I am getting tired of bobby flay and rachael ray and their many shows.
7I love Robert Irvine! He's great as a cook and entertaining. The premise of his show is so interesting compared with stupid Rachael Ray traveling over the world trying to find food to eat... I like him. Who doesn't embellish stuff on a resume? And how was Food Network so stupid as to not notice for this time? They're even worse than him. I hope he gets a show on network TV, like Fox with Gordon Ramsay and Hell's Kitchen.
8he's not the first to embellish a resumé, and he won't be the last. I would watch a new show because he is an intelligent and engaging host and a good caterer. Also he doesn't say "yum-o" ever five words.
9i don't know if i would watch him on another show. i wasn't the biggest fan of him before the whole scandal came out so i'm just not sure. i don't know if he really has the charisma that i need to see on a show.
10No, he's not the first to embellish a resume and he won't be the last. He's also not the first to be fired for it nor will he be the last, bottom line is it's illegal. That being said, I wasn't a fan of his (never watched his show), until I saw him on an iron chef America episode where he teamed up with Tyler Florence to challenge Cat Cora and Paula Deen. On that show I liked Robert Irvine, he didn't seem to be the mean ogre that he appeared to be on the previews of his show. He was fun, funny, and seemed to be genuine. It's sad that he felt he had to embellish his resume, glad that he now feels freed from the burden of carrying the lie. Telling the truth is so much easier because you don't have to remember anything. You don't have to keep telling lies to cover up past lies. I wish him much success in his future endeavors.
It would depend on how he portrayed his personality as to whether I would watch a show of his or not. It has nothing to do with this situation.
11Id watch it. Yeah he lied about his resume... but his show was actually fun to watch, unlike alot of the other shows on food network, which can be closely related to stabbing yourself in the brain. (i'm looking at you Rachel Ray...)
12It's sad that he had to lie. But so many people lie on their resumes. He should stay out of public life.
13i think they should've given him another chance, and let him publicly apologize. i really liked the who b/c he was fun to watch.
14I wont watch him again, he has lost all Cred with me
15Liar liar ballbag on fire!!
But, Id totally watch another show of his. Everyone seems to lie these days...doesnt change my life one way or another.
I mean actors/actresses, politicians..whatever.
16Because others lie doesn't justify his lies. [think...if your friends jump off a bridge, etc etc] Sound childish? Because it is. Grow up. Despite that, as a television show it was quite entertaining and I enjoyed his character as well. I agree with a previous poster, let him apologize and let's continue with a new season!
17I worked with him in Atlantic city NJ in Resorts Casino
18He was very mean to workers and very cocky, I mean to the
point where he we totally disrespectful , trust me a couple of Hundred people cheered when he got his, What comes around gos
around.
As a restaurant owner and chef I truly appreciate Robert's
19abilities. His passion for food has touched many lives.
He is an inspiration to those who know food as a creative
outlet, nourishing in a"tasteful manner" your fellow human.
I'm delighted Robert's back...Viewer's deserve Dinner Impossible....
We love Robert Irvine! I am so happy he is coming back on with Dinner Impossible. So what if some of his credentials were exaggerated ... I think the credentials he truly has are very, very impressive. You just have to watch him at work on the show to know that. We love Georgie and David too ... hope they come back with him.
20It would be so easy to throw stones, and I do not like it when people lie. But in all honesty, he fessed up, apologized...so forgive the guy! He is a great chef, and I love the show! Isn't there a point in your life when you would've really liked a second chance? I am very happy for him, and I look forward to watching him when I can! God Bless!
