Folks, straight from the mouths of our friends at Food Network, I have exclusive news that Anthony Bourdain is going to be rejoining the crew at FN. His current contract with the Travel Channel ends next year, and FN has wooed him back over to the "dark side." He'll be helming a new travel-like show, which will have him back behind the stove. In A Chef's Brawl — that's the "working" title — Bourdain will travel the globe and try to outcook some of the most famous chefs in the world. Our Food Network friends are describing it as, "Throwdown meets No Reservations, but with a twist of Mark Bittman." Although something tells me they won't mention the Bittman parts in the ads.

To find out what Bourdain had to say about their newly rekindled partnership, read more.
HA! April Fool's! Did you really think Bourdain would join Food Network again?
Although you know you'd watch if he did. Couldn't you imagine? He and Alton Brown could battle over whose travelogue-eating show reigned supreme!
Oh and if he does rejoin Food Network, don't forget that you read it here first!
Hope you have a happy April Fool's day!

I didn't really believe it at first, I am glad I didn't!
1Am I the only one who dislikes him? He spends all of his time slinging mud about everyone and everything instead of actually cooking. He's also a huge hypocrite -- running his mouth off one minute and then cuddling up to the "enemy" the next.
2Ha! I totally fell for it! I'm so gullible!
But miss, I agree, I don't like him. I just find him to be obnoxious, elitist, and all together not that entertaining.
3How many chef cook-off shows can there possibly be room for????
4I actually enjoy watching No Reservation. He'll probably end up renewing his contract with the Travel Channel.
5Good one - you got me!!!
6You totally got me! It was so unbelievable it had to be true!
7Good on Yum but you didn't get me!! If he ever rejoined the Food Network I think pigs would fly. I love Anthony Bourdain.
8i thought that he was already coming back to FN - but i could be wrong. wasn't no reservations going to air on the network? anyway, i hope that this new show isn't pretentious since that's kind of how i feel about a lot of what he does. we'll just have to wait and see. i feel like lately i'm just not watching the food network cause there aren't shows that interest me anymore.
9April Fools! I knew it, he is just too good on No Reservations....
10Good God, I hate April Fool's Day.
11I hear you tratch, lol.
12haha! You got me but at the same time I was thinking that I couldn't believe that he accepted to work w the food network. A couple of days ago I was reading a blog that he wrote saying that he hates the food network and cheesy shows like throwdown. So I thought that they must be offering him a LOT of money for this.lol
13ilinac, from what I understand, Food Network still owns the shows that he did for them several years ago and they're planning to start re-airing them. So *he's* not returning to the network, but his *show* is.
14u got me!!!!!!
15thorswitch, they are actually airing A Cook's Tour once a week and have been since I think January! I have a bunch to catch up on.
16Bourdain would sooner eat his own liver than rejoin TFN.
17Classic! (Love the graphic, too!)
18I know Anthony too well to have believe that lie! Although part of me hopes he would go back on there and secretly make Guy Fieri disappear......
19i knew it. totally agree misswills.
20Oh, thank God that's not true. I didn't think he would ever disrespect working chefs by doing a show like that.
21I got all excited cause I do not have the travel channel but for some reason do have food network.
22I love all cooking shows and Anthony. I wish he were on FN but I get lots of channels so I'll follow him wherever he goes.
