The other day, a friend asked me what were the standard proportions for making a mimosa. While I pour mine with 3/4 Champagne and 1/4 orange juice, I wasn't sure if that was the normal ratio. I asked her to wait a second while I checked YumSugar.com. I went looking for our mimosa recipe and was shocked to see that we've never written about a mimosa before! How this classic brunch cocktail slipped through the cracks is beyond me — I enjoy mimosas on a weekly basis!
For the best mimosas, use fresh squeezed orange juice and a cheap but good sparkling wine. To look at the recipe, read more.
Modified from Williams-Sonoma
According to Wikipedia the ratio is three parts Champagne/sparkling wine to two parts orange juice.
Ingredients
2 Tbs. fresh orange juice
4 fl. oz. plus a splash of Champagne or sparkling wine
1 orange wheel for garnish (optional)
Directions
Pour the orange juice and Champagne into a Champagne flute. Stir briefly. Add the orange wheel.

That does indeed bring a "sparkle" to any brunch.
1YUM
2Never tried it, but it sounds really good!
3Jessie, you must try these. They are super delish!
4Oh so yummy but super easy to drink way too many during brunch and not notice!
5I had a few for Easter Brunch. I don't like mine too strong so I use 2 parts champagne to 3 parts OJ.
6I love Mimosa's, but I can't handle citrus. It burns my throat. I'll just take the champagne.
7Yum! Mine usually end up being more champagne with a splash of OJ
8As a bartender I always add a touch of triple sec.
9yea! sounds yummy
10it is tasty, but i prefer a spicy bloody mary.
11While its not Mimosa I think there was a yumsugar article about the Bellini the distant cousin of Mimosa made with Sparkling wine and peach puree or was it blood orange juice.
12I love a good mimosa.
13I'd love one right now.
14I always ask for my mimosa with no OJ. haha
15wish I had one right now
16Just popped a bottle of "POP" today with some OJ
17i love mimosas! heavy on the champagne of course. or i use 5 Alive instead of OJ lol
18mmm lovee these and could drink them morning noon or night! they're also really good with pineapple juice instead of oj!
19Love mimosas and I could have gotten points months ago when I looked up mimosa on YumSugar. I make mine half and half to start then 70% 30% champagne so I'm not tipsy or drunk if I'm drinking alot.
