Have you ever made sushi before? I've done it twice and both times were deliciously rewarding. If you want to experiment with sushi making, check out this recipe for lox and roasted asparagus sushi. Doesn't it look absolutely divine? — For the Love of Food

OMG! Salivating!
1This looks hard as sh*t. It cant be easy, can it?
2I've rolled tons of sushi. The hardest (and most time consuming) part is prepping everything beforehand. But once your "ready to roll" it's pretty fun!
3Mmm. I'd love to try making my own rolls at home--I could have my sushi exactly as I want it (lots of fish and stuff, very little rice!) and perhaps cut myself some nice slices of sashimi while I'm at it!
4Back in my post college days of living with multiple roommates we used to make sushi rolls quite often. It's a fun group activity.
5It is too much work for just one person for me to make them these days.
we had to start making our own, because we love sushi so much, our budget couldnt stand the strain!
I usually make the "usual" with is with Krab sticks, avacado, cucumber, spicy sauce (sriracha, seseme oil, and mayo. its the orange stuff you usually see at sushi places)and flying fish eggs.
Sometimes I get Tuna, or smoked salmon, or conch, shrimp or scallops.
6Not wild about the smoked salmon in sushi. Not in the restaurant, not at home.
7I feel the same way, shoneyjoe. For me, smoked salmon belongs on a bagel smeared with cream cheese--regular old salmon is just fine in a roll.
I had a Philly roll once with smoked salmon in it. The juxtaposition of the flavor of the lox with that of the sushi rice was unappetizing, to say the least. The only time I've ever left part of any sushi roll uneaten.
8it's really not too hard, just make you you have the WHOLE day free. i like to make a tempura shrimp with cream cheese and avocado roll. yum!
9Sushi is really easy to make, in my opinion. Once you've made it once or twice, it's a breeze. And, you most certainly do not need to have a whole day to make it. It is easy to do after work, or on the weekend, or after school - whenever!
