We're thinking about doing this!
1Just FYI, brides: I work in the event and wedding industry, and am in the SF area. You'll be dropping a pretty, pretty penny to book French Laundry. In fact, I'd say that most restaurants don't like to book the whole place.
Look for restaurants with private event spaces, that's always good, and SF has plenty.
2Oh, and of course, best of luck to you, Jude C! Just remember in those moments of high stress: it's YOUR day, be sure you enjoy it!
3Thanks, onion waffle!
I think we're having more fun planning our honeymoon than the actual wedding!
4you'll have more funn on the honeymoon too! not in a dirty way, but all the stress is done...you can enjoy each other again!
5One of the things I forgot to mention is see if you can get the restaurant during their off time. Pictured above is Foreign Cinema, and their rates drop an entire digit doing it during non-peak hours. Of course this means you'll have your wedding on a weekday afternoon, but it could be worth it!
