Tomatillo
This tiny green fruit is known as the "Mexican Green Tomato," but it's actually a relative of the gooseberry family. Tomatillos are covered in a thin paper-like husk that is removed before cooking. The flavor is unique and a bit acidic with hints of lemon, apple and herb.

You know I always see tomatillo and I never know how to use it. Any tips?
1I use it to make salsa and it is so Delicious! I like to toast them for a bit and then use a mocahete to grind them down. I then add some finely chopped hot red pepper and grind them as well. Oh, it's the best salsa ever!
