I am so bummed!!! I thought Jen was fantastic and alll fo the whining and b*tching someing from Antonia and Lisa really made me want to see them both pack their knives nd go!! I though it was a brilliant challenge. It is in Chicago so you have to involve Second City! Andrew and Spike teamed up together was brilliant as well. I think they can only work well with each other. The soup sounded amazing, poor Zoi, I really liked her too. Richard is an amazing Chef, stick to cooking though i liked the Seinfeld reference. I wanted to try Richard and Dale's dish and the soup the most. Both teams worked so well together! Dale's curry sounded phenominal! MMmmmmm Soup! worked so well with their suggestion! Everyone in my household cracked up at the polish sausage joke!! I love Ted Allen! I still think that Antonia and Lisa really messed up! Polish sausage is delicious first of all, I am not polish, but if I was I would be pretty upset at teh everity of them dissing their country's food! Also, the food wasn't even drunk! They took chots in front of the guests ad didn't share!! I am still befuddled why they didn't go home. I don't have a personal connection to SF but Jen was one of my favs. sad. I am with you, Richard, Dale and Stephanie are my top three.

It was a fun show last night, I liked it a lot!

I thought it was crap that Jen got sent home instead of either Antonia or Lisa. Jen and Stephanie's dish may have been poorly executed but they stuck to the challenge. Antonia and Lisa failed on three parts: they didn't use the main ingredient, barely made it purple, and it was hardly drunken. It was also kinda rude to guzzle tequila in front of the guests.

I think the final three will be Dale, Richard, and Stephanie as well. I don't care for Richard's style of cooking, but it's very apparent that he's talented.

Lisa used to be cool in my book, but if it's one thing that annoys me, it's whiners! She should've just sucked it up and served Polish sausage, instead of acting like she was above such "bar food."

I'm rooting for Dale or Stephanie, myself. =) Richard is talented for sure, but his salmon prep from a few episodes back was awful, and I think it's critical to get your basics down in addition to making a tasty dish.

I really couldn't believe they didn't make a true polish sausage dish! And you would think now that people are being weeded out for the smallest mess ups, that making a dish without the main ingredient would be a no brainer!
I thought the tofu dish was genious.. because so many people have that stereotype that tofu is sick, anyway you have it.. But the guys proved that stigma false! I loved the episode.

2. It was definitely fun! It's amazing how the producers are able to come up with such inventive ideas over and over. I thought it was a great spin on the elimination challenge.

5. I wanted to dive into that soup. But, I am a sucker for any squash-based soup. That tofu would have been a treat too, though!

7. It shows some fortitude that they were able to make a creamy soup without the aid of blenders or other mechanical gadgets. A good soup with proper seasoning is not east.
8. Yeah. I called it that they would be in trouble for not including polish sausage in their dish.

10. I love Mark! But, final three will be Richard, Stephanie, and Andrew (just a guess).

I was happy the soup did so well--since he wanted to do it before and got shot down!
Also, I thought that Richard should have done the Seinfeld impression for the judges---how funny was that tie in!
And I also thought Antonio or Lisa should have gone--they totally ignored the challenge! And Lisa's attitude was horrible---she said it was a "technicality" but if all of the chefs just made what they were good at and did not follow the challenge then everyone could do well!

i was so bummed when jen was kicked off. argh. i really dislike spike and andrew, but that soup did look delicious. i was so glad that stephanie got to stay, even though that meant jen had to leave.

I think the wrong group was on the chopping block. I think Antonia and Lisa refusing to actually do the challenge is BS, they basically said Top Chef, kiss my butt, I am not cooking that.
Everyone else made ends meet with what they were given. I think it there's was the biggest error. It means you can present the judges with something that tastes good, but has nothing to do with the challenge and win?

I can't believe that they would have had such difficulty with a polish sausage dish. they could have done something delicious with red cabbage and kielbasa, no? I kind of wish someone had pointed out that not only was it not in the spirit of the challenge to dis the sausage, but it's un-chicagoan as well!

2. I think that this season of Top Chef has had A LOT more crazy stuff going on -- and I like it. I am sick to death of Lisa whining about EVERYTHING. She keeps talking about how she refuses to "dumb down her food," but her food still sucks. Richard, who could be the most rigid chef with his gastro background, has proven to be the most flexible -- he leads teams, he makes desserts, he doesn't always pull out his gadgets. That is the main reason why he is absolutely going to win and why Lisa needs to GO HOME NOW.
3. I love Spike and Andrew. I think they're hilarious and add a lot of fun to the season. I know a lot of people don't dig them, but I stand by my men!
4. I thought it was sort of funny. I like Richard more and more every ep.
5. Anything curry sounds good to me! I also thought almost every dessert looked great.
6. Uncomfortable.
7. I think Spike proved in this episode that he's not some crazy boy -- when he said he wanted to do soup, he meant it.
8. Yes. I thought it was absurd and just continues to show Lisa's ridiculous inflexibility. I was disappointed that Antonia went along with it.
9. I did not want to see Jen go and I was shocked when she did.
10. Stephanie, to me, is a nonentity. She is solid but I have seen no real flair from her with anything. I think Richard and Dale are the clear top two, and I love that. I predict that someone else in the pack while emerge as a new number three, and soon.

I think Antonia or Lisa should have went. They chose to completely ignore the description of what they were given.

I totally agree with your final three. I really want Stephanie to win but Richard's creativity continues to impress me. I loved the way the dishes were created by the improv audience and how some contestants, especially Richard, really embraced it. The beef tofu was just really clever. I was sad to see Jennifer go because she seems way more talented than Nikki, and I felt like Lisa should have been kicked off for being too much of a snob to make polish sausage.

Mmm those desserts... YUM! I LOVED the challenge, it was definitely creative and funny.

Lacking a TV, I have to wait until these episodes are Youtube'd before I can comment. Took long enough today... Before I start, I'm super bummed about Jen going home. Boo hiss. I haven't yet this season felt that the winner was wrongfully chosen, but there are many times I've disagreed vehemently with the loser. This, again, was one of those times. But not last week - thank God Ryan's gone.

1. Not really. I'm not much of a cake fan. I'm pretty simple for dessert: fruit, maybe some ice cream. Nothing more.
2. I thought it was great, and I would have loved it. Have these guys *never* seen the show before? Hint: there's ALWAYS a twist. If you weren't aware, you should freaking be here. As Johnny said about the dessert quickfire, some people just went in defeated by it.

5. The pork loin dish from Nikki and Mark looked amazing.

8. YES, and I think they should have been sent home! OK, so you don't want to do "polish sausage", improvise and cook hot dogs in pierogis or something. Don't just change the topic. I'm taking exams right now. If I just decide that one of my exam questions is stupid, I don't get to change it unless I want to fail.
9. Coincidence. I wasn't really bummed to see the final San Franciscan leave as much as I was really bummed to see Jen leave.
10. Jen was really my horse for the competition. I don't know who else to support. I love Richard's fearlessness, I think Dale's got that smug bastard-ness of Hung, which I absolutely detest, and Stephanie's kind of a milktoast but I'm psyched that she's another Wolverine (Go Blue!).

Seriously... no polish sausage means NO JOY. Lisa should have gone home. I'm sick of hearing her b*tch about the challenges that are clearly part of the show. Next, she can go on survivor and moan about why she's not living in a house.

Ted Allen on his Bravotv blog is kind of sick of Bravos editing to illuminate his "gay"ness, I think he is getting tired of it. I have to agree.

I am glad the faux hawk other half of the lesbian couple is gone, she never impressed me, and how on earth could she attempt to do anything phallic and not have it fail.

Lisa also needs to go, her disdain for polish sausage just cemented my hate for her and her eyebrow ring.

I don't think Ted's sexuality gets played up too much on Top Chef...and frankly he'll never really escape it as long as he is on Bravo, which pretty much made him with a show that labeled him as a gay expert.

I'm a fan of his though so I just want Teddy to be happy.

I was really bummed that Jen was sent packing I liked her...and I think the judges let off Antonia and Lisa, at least Jen and Stephanie followed the rules...although the judges said that the cheese was the most prominent...HELLO the cheese had an ORANGE color...orange turned on asparagus...seriously I wonder about the judges sometimes...that's crap. And Can Lisa say a single sentence without dropping the F Bomb?
