I prefer the crunch of hard tacos but I can eat both depending on the fillings. Mostly if I want the soft mouth feel, I just get a burrito because it ends up being the same as a soft taco!
I dunno...those tacos to the left look really yummy!!
I don't like corn tacos....I've only ever had flour tacos, so they are not really soft or hard....
At fast food places....though I prefer hard.... I had to have soft once cuz my teeth just got fixed and i hadda have a TACO...looove tacos..
I love both! My sister and I decided to try and make a home made version of the Taco Bell Crunch wrap supreme, and it was SOOO yummy. We took the soft taco and put cheese on top, popped it in
the oven until the cheese melted, and immediately put the hard shell on it so the cheese would bind it. Everyone raved about it!
I grew up eating hard tacos. My mom and her friends always fired the corn tortilla. I rememeber you'd maybe get one good bite before the entire shell would crack open and all the tacoy
goodness wouldbe all over your plate.
Then I went to a tacqueria and huh? Soft tortilla, what on earth? Hey it didn't crack open and spill the tacoy goodness all over the table. So now I'm a big soft taco shell fan.
It has a fresher taste and requires that the freshest tortilla is used to make the taco because a bad tortilla can ruin your taco flavor.
I prefer soft tacos because usually the fillings stay in a lot better and they make me feel full faster which is good when I'm in a hurry or on a budget.
Soft!! because are the original, i'm mexican, and those hard shell tacos is something of the US, here isn't common hard tacos (tacos dorados in spanish), you only find them at night in
cenadurias (dinners), they use the tortillas of the day and fill them with something (usually shreded beef) and then are fried, but, you can find all the time soft tacos, for breakfast, lunch
and dinner, filled with so manny different stuffs.
i don't like hard tacos because they break as soon as i start eating. at that point, i'd much rather eat taco salad by using tortilla chips. still yummy, just easier to eat than a hard taco.
i make soft taco at home and, if forced to eat something like taco bell, i order the soft ones. though i am intrigued bu the whole soft taco with cheese melding to the hard taco shell...that
just might hold a hard taco together...might have to try it
I make corn tortillas toasted with a little butter on a griddle for tacos and enchilladas. This adds a tiny bit of caramelized flavor and a bit of crunch. It's almost a cross between the two.
One could use olive oil if one were really health conscious, but I don't eat tacos every day, so I don't bother. Raw tortillas are gross, homemade hard shells are a pain (sometimes quite
literally if you get burned), and store bought shells taste like cardboard.
since there aren't too many versions of a meatless taco, i'm really not a fan, however if i were to eat one it would be a soft taco since i don't really care for the hard shells all that
much.
mmm i love tacos..it just depends on my mood. i hate the crunchy premade taco shells but love making homemade taco's with unhealthy frying. the soft shell tacos are perfect too.
Exactly designer girl! That is because 'hard tacos' do not exist. For something to be called a taco it should be made with tortillas and tortillas are soft. When tortillas are fried (and
traditionally they arent fried in the shape of the 'hard tacos', but flat) they are used to make tostadas.
I love soft shell corn tortillas, and I love tacos too but being a vegetarian makes it difficult to find good things to fill them with. What I have come to do is mix chunks of avocado,
cilantro, a little lime juice, a sprinkle of cheese, and lots of hot sauce. Its a good snack.

I may be in the minority here -- I don't like tacos. Generally, in Mexican restaurants, I order a fish entree. I like ceviche.
1Generally speaking, I don't think I like any food that is hard or overly crunchy. Soft (vegetarian) tacos over hard anyday.
2I prefer the crunch of hard tacos but I can eat both depending on the fillings. Mostly if I want the soft mouth feel, I just get a burrito because it ends up being the same as a soft taco!
3I like both, it just depends on my mood.
4Soft...
5I like both. But hasn't this question been asked before?
Or maybe I'm confused. It
happens quite often!
6hard beef tacos or soft chicken tacos
7I love hard, I've always liked crunchy foods.
8The both are equally delicious.
9I won't eat soft tacos, only crunchy hard ones! The crunchy corn tortilla shell adds a delicious flavor!
10I dunno...those tacos to the left look really yummy!!

12hard baby!
13THE HARDER, THE BETTER! I like crunchy food!
14I love hard tacos.
15soft...i like hard tacos, but as soon as you bite into them the shell splits down the middle!!
16I like the crunchy shells.
17Homemade soft tacos with toasty corn tortillas....yum!
18Soft are much easier to eat and they taste better.
19my family always has soft shells if we're making tacos. maybe it's because of the mess that seems to come with the hard shells, i'm not sure ...

22hard
23I don't like tacos. But crunchy ones are more difficult for me because once I bite it, the whole thing starts to crumble.
24I would starve if I cut crunchy tacos out of my diet. Soft tacos are just burritos that haven't been folded all the way!
25I love hard tacos but most of the time I order soft because I get soooo mad when the hard shell is stale! I'm eating tacos as I type

27Depends what's in it. I like chicken soft tacos, and ground meat hard shell tacos.
28I like burritos, too!

37Hard Tacos Rule!
38For real tacos it has to be soft corn tortillas. But for taco bell I likes em hard!
39A carne asada or al pastor soft taco...yum! Lots of cilantro and lime.
