Being single, I've had my fair share of online dating experiences. However no online dating service seems as exciting as this cooking show that FitSugar told me about. The interesting website — Feed Me, the Brooklyn Cooking Dating Show — invites two singles into the kitchen. They cook together, and the date is filmed and then posted for all to see on the site.
I love the concept behind this idea: that food and cooking can bring two people together. However, you won't see me on an episode anytime soon — the service is for New York residents only.
It did get me thinking about cooking and the effect it can have on romantic relationships. What do you think about the service? Is cooking a way to heat up a date?

I really like it when my boyfriend and I cook together. He takes the time in teaching me (yes, he's teaching me), being very patient and caring through my many questions and messes. Everything always comes out soooo good. I guess it's another way to show that we care for each other by participatng in cooking for one other and together.
1Assuming you're making something that you're comfortable with, I totally think cooking heats up a date. It gives you both something to do that invites conversation, and feeding somone (or being fed) is so intimate.
2Fun fun fun, but I suggest doing something that doesn't involve a lot of cutting or dicing. Sometimes you just wanna play around, and that can get dangerous with all sorts of knives laying around.
3I love cooking with my bf.
4Having someone cook for you, or cooking together is super sexy.
