Oh, man. Don't get me started on the trans fat ban. I'm going to try to keep this short. Three years ago, I gave up on eating foods that had partially-hydrogenated fats in them. It was a personal decision that I made for my health. Food shopping was a b*tch. I basically had to give up most frozen/packaged foods. This ended up being a good thing. I've always loved to cook, but that decision forced me to cook more, and I'm glad I made it. When people started learning more about trans fats and how harmful they are, I thought, "Great. Now others will make more informed decisions." Well, it's gone too far. There doesn't need to be a law against what restaurants can serve. I mean, am I the only one who finds this ridiculous? People make good and bad decisions every day that impact their lives. Are we also going to ban saturated fats? Those are bad, too. Are we going to ban low-fiber foods? Fiber is good for you, so everyone should eat more, right? Ugh. It just makes my head explode. So, um, what was the original question?
1thanks!
