Pineapples
Every vendor had a stack of pineapples at their stands. I watched as each buyer selected the best one. Some smelled the bottom and others pulled on the leaves, but a debate always ensued as to which method was more accurate.

I miss the white pineapples from there a little more tart but sooo good, I haven't been able to find anything like it!
1I'm a leaf puller myself. If it comes out clean it's generally pretty ripe.
