When I saw this recipe for chocolate bruschetta, I had one of those why didn't I think of that? moments. Leave it to the folks at MyRecipes.com to come up with something so deliciously clever!
It takes one of my favorite appetizers — bruschetta — and turns it into a sweet, gooey treat. The chocolate-topped bread is seasoned with coarse sea salt and orange zest elevating the classic French breakfast — pain au chocolat — to a gourmet level.
Served with a glass of aged port, this would make an excellent finish to any dinner party. For the easy recipe, please read more.

Givenchy
looks like poo
1Nuuuuuummy! I would think this would be great with a little bit of chopped fresh mint. Kind of like a faux Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie. *banging head on keyboard in a fit of euphoria*
2I made something like this the other day, but it's kind of messy because I always end up heating the bread with chocolate in the microwave and it didn't have orange zest since I don't like the idea of mixing the flavor of that with chocolate. I also made chocolate/peanut butter fudge the other day and topped it with a sprinkling of sea salt.
3I would make it a bit easier and just spread Nutella on it
4onabanana is right. they just look unappetizing.
5maybe they would taste better then they look...
6I thought the same thing, onabanana! I'm sure these taste delicious but the way the bruschetta is on the bread just looks icky. Maybe if it was spread out a little more evenly?
7My aunt was just telling me this weekend how they went to eat at Emerils a few years ago here in N.O. and he was serving this chocolate bruschetta... she said the women at the table loved it, but the men - not so much.
8totally going to try a variation on these!
9I think I'd pass on this...it doesn't look appetizing and I have to be in the right mood for chocolate.
10I'm sure it could be made more pleasing to the eye. However I would skip the salt and orange. Naturally the best part of recipes is adapting them to your specific tastes. I'd still rather have a cookie
11JessNess, I like the nutella idea! I am a HUGE nutella freak!
12This sounds good! I am dying to try this Giada recipe that is a panini sandwich with brie and chocolate. This reminds me of that!
13Looks great!
I'm throwing a party next week and this sounds yummy!
14they don't look good, but they could taste good
