Happy hour on weekend evenings always sounds like ice shaking in a cocktail shaker! We have two, a little one-drink size and a bigger one that can do two cosmos at a time.

I have four and they see regular use during a monthly cocktail hour with friends. I'm trending toward the stirred side of the martini and gibson divide, though, as I begin to appreciate the virtues of a clear cocktail.

yes i do have one (ok, more than one) but i hardly ever use them. i think that i got them when i first moved into my house - but now they are just in a cabinet..gathering dust.

i've bought several friends cocktail shakers but do not own one myself!

I get some regular use out of mine when friends are over. Usually the wine glasses see more action, though!

Oh, and for a while I was working really early, and was drinking a slimfast shake in the morning, then having something more substantial 2-3 hours later. I did the Slimfast powder because it was cheaper. I found it was really easy to shake it up in my martini shaker w/ a couple ice cubes to get it extra cold! haha

I don't use one at home or at work when tending bar at a s=downtown restaurant. I tend to use pint glasses combined with the bottom half of metal shakers.

I actually own 3, but use 2. My two plastic shakers (one single serve) are my faves. The top doesn't "stick" like the steel ones.

We're more of a beer/wine household so not necessary.
