I'm from Louisiana, so I'm used to the heat
But, it depends on the dish for me.
My boyfriend on the other hand, he will eat peppers raw (not bell peppers, either).
I love hot and spicy food but, like others above have stated, when it enhances the flavor not overpowers it. I'm normally not a fan of anything with habaneros (those are stupid hot!), but
bring on the jalepenos! Yum!
I don't like bell peppers (I think I'm allergic to them) so I was certain for a long time that I didn't like spicy foods. Now that I understand that bell peppers don't encompass spicyness
(and aren't all that spicy) I've come to appreciate spicy! I've developed a special fondness for Indian food - the fuel that drives the completion of my dissertation
for me it depends on the dish my mom loves spicy foods so when she makes spicy food she makes it reallllllllllly spicy especially jerk chicken and the only thing that seems to stop the burn
on my tongue is milk
my fave hot spicy food is buffalo wings when their really hot but it's normal to me but everyone says it's really spicy and hot but not the ones my mom makes that's deadly !!!
I love hot food. Hot enough to make your nose run and your forehead sweat. Of course, food that's not supposed to be spicy hot I don't want to be hot, but I love the heat. I am not the one to
ask is something's spicy since my normal is hot to others.
I enjoy experimenting with different pepper varieties and getting to know which ones add character and spice to a dish and which ones just bring heat to the table.
Honestly, I prefer my food not spicy (yay for totally living up the Midwestern stereotype). But seeing as I am about to head off to South Korea, where basically nothing without gochujang (red
chile pepper paste) can be considered authentic Korean food, I'm going to have to deal. It'll be ok, though, cause Korean food is delicious =)
Also a Louisianian, spicy is basically a food group here. I love cayenne, but nothing beats a jalapeno for me. I can eat nacho jalapenos from the jar, mmmmmm.
I absolutely love spicy food. I put hot sauce on eggs, chili sauce on pizza, and sriracha on hot dogs. And I make my own spicy chili sauce if I can't find it.
Depends on the dish and how hot the spices are. I love rice with tumuric (sp?), curry and ginger zest (w/ red bell pepper, tomato and green peppers mixed in.)
I also love indian food (spinach with rice, curry and chick peas is delish!)
On a sclae from mild to hot... I can handle up to a medium. What some people find spicey tastes very mild to me (some people are very sensitive) so my handle on spices ranges from dish to
dish.
Also I buy this dumpling sauce and it has a very spicey flavor however not to the point of steam coming out your ears; I love it since it has a perfect balance of calm & spicey.
I love spicy, but flavorfull foods. I can eat Thai food, Thai hot, I love roasted chili peppers in sauces, red pepper flakes in everything, huy fong sriracha on everything.

1But, it depends on the dish for me.

i'm not a super hot/spicy person but there are some things that i think should have 'heat' to them. i guess it really depends on the dish.
2I love to have spicy salsa to dip tortilla chips in, but for most dishes I think if it's TOO hot, it takes away from the flavor.
3hot sauce on my pizza please
4i can't get enough spice!!!
With almost everything, the hotter the better! My husband says that I can't make a dish without putting crushed red pepper in there.
5I love spicy foods, but I hate when heat is the primary flavor. I like it when there are more complex tastes involved.
6I love it even when it's pretty hot but not so much that you can't appreciate the flavors in what you're eating.
7I love it but not when it is too hot and unenjoyable.
8A little spice is okay.
9It's all about flavor and balance. Love spices of all kinds.
10i can't take the heat. my mouth just can't handle it!
11I love hot and spicy food but, like others above have stated, when it enhances the flavor not overpowers it. I'm normally not a fan of anything with habaneros (those are stupid hot!), but bring on the jalepenos! Yum!

13I like spicy foods, just not too spicy that your throat feels like it's on fire.
14I like spicy foods, but I feel like if they're too hot you can't enjoy whatever you're eating, so there's really no point of eating it.
My fiance is crazy. He loves spicy foods. He says that if he can eat it, it's not hot enough. You have to love his logic
15Spicy is ok, as long as it is not the focal point of the meal. It is best served as an additional wammy on top of an already delicous taste sensation.
16All depends on the dish
17for me it depends on the dish my mom loves spicy foods so when she makes spicy food she makes it reallllllllllly spicy especially jerk chicken and the only thing that seems to stop the burn on my tongue is milk

21After having an ulcer I don't do spicy foods just to be safe
22not at all. never been a fan.

25I love hot and spicy but not so hot that your tongue goes numb. I like hot and spicy and flavorful.
26I absolutely love spicy food. I put hot sauce on eggs, chili sauce on pizza, and sriracha on hot dogs. And I make my own spicy chili sauce if I can't find it.
27Spice, spice, baybee, too cold, too cold... oh, wait: too hot, too hot.
Mm. Love spicy.

30It depends what you consider "spicy" I like to use hot peppers, but one persons idea of hot is another person's idea of too mild.
31I love spicy, but flavorfull foods. I can eat Thai food, Thai hot, I love roasted chili peppers in sauces, red pepper flakes in everything, huy fong sriracha on everything.
