A couple of months ago, many of you were upset by the death announcement of the Hydrox cookie. Over the past few years, the black and white sandwich cookie had become harder and harder to find until it was practically extinct. However, Hydrox fans have bombarded manufacturer Kellogg, and thanks to consumer demand, the company has decided to bring the cookie back! There's a catch: The cookies will only be around for a limited time — long enough for Kellogg to see how well they sell. Michael E. Allen, the senior VP of marketing for Kellogg snacks, explains:
It's all up to the consumer. If it sells a lot and makes sense for the supermarkets and the grocery stores to keep it on the shelves, then we'll keep making them.
Thus, the fate of the Hydrox cookie lies in the hands of the consumers. Will you help save the cookie? Will you buy Hydrox while you still can?

Never had 'em...
1Thanks, but no thanks. Not a fan.
2Hydrox were before OREO and they are cheaper in price. So heck yeah, I'll support Hydrox!
3Never had them. Do they taste the same as oreo?
4I LOVE Hydrox. They are just like an Oreo...but better...and more original. The name is funny though...sounds like a chemical.
5Kinda like...water.
I like the taste of these better than Oreos, so I'll buy a pack to support the cause.
6Hydroxes just don't taste the same. I'll stick to my Oreos.
7I've never heard of them before. They look just like an Oreo. I love
8Oreos.
Never heard of them. I'll stick w/Oreos!!!
9From what I understand people who prefer them over Oreos, prefer them because there is a different ingredient in the creme that doesn't leave that waxy feeling on the roof of your mouth. Not my opinion, just what I heard on the radio in a story about the end of the Hydrox cookie.
10I'm headed to Food Lion in the morning!
11I've never heard of these but I would try them if I want Oreos.
12I'm quite shocked, I don't think I've ever even had one – I think this calls for a Sugar taste test! (Assuming it goes over better than those scary chocolate Skittles...)
13growing up we were ONLY ALLOWED to eat hydrox since they were kosher - so i'm really happy that they'll be back even if it's for a limited time. the taste of them is just diff from oreos and i like it better.
14Hooray for Hydrox! I always preferred their flavor to Oreos, but unlike Oreos, they never expanded their brand. Which is why I'm a sucker for Double Stuffed Oreos!
15i prefer oreos!
16hmm... thats nice that they brought them back, but i like oreos better. perhaps if hydrox made a mint version like oreos has.... i may be willing to try
17YES!! Those cookies are so good!
18yep not a fan of them i will stick to oreos but to each there own more cookies the better
19yep not a fan of them i will stick to oreos but to each there own more cookies the better
20Never had them but i'll have to pick up a package and give it a try
21Hydrox cookies were developed in 1908 to be a cookie for adults, not children. They were always better to me, much less sweet than the fake, starts with a "O". The others also used lard for many years. I will buy Hydrox like crazy when they come back.
22This definitely calls for a taste test!
The best cookies of this type I've had recently are the Paul Newman brand. They are better for you (ha, ha--no trans fats) and taste better than oreos.
I'd try all three in the contest and maybe try the Late July brand, as well.
23Hydrox smokes oreos no waxy shortening tasting middle and they did make a mint hydrox in the early 70's. I just hope my supermarket will carry them keeblers chocolate sandwich cookie was close but no cigar all you oreo fans that never tried a hydrox don't knock em till you tried them! do a blind taste test dipped in milk you won't be sorry. Step over to the dark side!!!!
