I made them back then and they were FABULOUSLY delicious!
Yeah this is a double post. Which is unfortunate because I did not like them at all! They just had that weird fried taste but weren't moist enough and yeah i dont know. I def. am not making them again.
tidal did you make them as mini muffins? I did, and found they were much better than the few full-sized ones I made.
Actually it is a different link, just the same recipe. I updated the text. Thanks!
Yeah, I made both (i have one mini and one normal cupcake pan). I guess I just don't like plain donuts much anyway, so I thought they tasted dry. and i had to tell everyone they were donut muffins, otherwise the person (coworker) thought it tasted weird, since they were expecting a normal-tasting muffin.
That looks soooooo yummy!
maybe it was just all the cinnamon sugar that did it for me
TidalWave, I felt the same way about the recipe. I love doughnuts, but I thought they were a bit dry and kind of odd tasting. Of course, if you rolled them in enough cinnamon sugar, they tasted pretty good. I'll stick with real doughnuts next time- the amount of butter I dipped them in did not make them any healthier!
What a yummy combo.
all this talk has me thinking -
how cool would it be if we had posts like this a few weeks or maybe a month after the original recipe is posted to get people's opinions on the recipe after making it? I know for me it usually takes me a while to actually make the recipe, but it is fun hearing everyone's opinions of the way things turned out.
just thinking out loud
@syako: well if i am going to try a recipe, i bookmark it. then just add a comment once i've made it. as far as sugar goes, i just subscribe to comments so i can keep updated regardless of when someone leaves a comment.
ah, good idea. I never subscribe.
These look good, I will try them even though there are mixed reviews! I think my fiance will love them!
Freaking AMAZING.
AHHHH! I didn't see these the first time around, I cannot WAIT to make these!!!
i will deffo make these tonite
What could be bad about something with muffin AND doughnut in the name? I'll be trying these soon.
I think I've died and gone to heaven!
