The song lyric (and the foodstuff) is "cracker jack", without the 's'. The ballpark has always been more of a savory food place than a sweet food place for me. I recently had some peanuts at Fenway (Go Sox!) and was reminded of how great they can be. Not something I normally snack on, but definitely delicious.

Last week, I had the privilege of attending a Nationals game in DC. Hot dogs, half-smokes from Ben's Chili Bowl, and plenty of ice cold beer - mmm! What I'm not as wild about is the aluminum bottles that the beer comes in - THEY'RE FREEZING. Youtube "real men of genius aluminum bottle" for a taste of exactly what that's like.

And now, with 13 of 30 ballparks offering some form of all-inclusive all-you-can-eat ticket sections, you can sample as much as you want, including peanuts and popcorn.

I get hot dogs because I am allergic to peanuts (and thus, CrackerJacks, too).

i picked neither because i don't recall ever eating at a ballpark, though i've only ever been once, i believe. that's a tough decision because i like peanuts and cracker jack. i'd probably do what i do at the movies and bring a large purse so that i could fit the snacks in it. if i wanted real food, i could always get a hot dog or something.

The kid in me says Cracker Jack. My waistline says peanut. I went with the kid.

Cracker Jack. Sweet, salt, carmel. What's not to like?

I'd rather have spicy peanuts because I'm more of a savory girl myself. Cracker Jack is yummy too though.

I thought this was just what would we choose - peanuts, but if I'm at the A's game I'm gonna have nachos with lots of jalapenos; hopefully not the ones with salmonella.

And I do love Cracker Jacks and Fiddle Faddle.

Cracker Jack because on the 4th of July I release my inner 10yr old,lol. Normally I would say peanuts (which I love) however I allow myself to splurge on the holiday.

i never used to like cracker jacks, but lately they've been ok - so i think that i would prefer them at the ballpark these days. i would normally say peanuts, but with shells it's just too messy.

I was recently at a Giants game and the people in the row behind me were eating peanuts. It took my sister and I several minutes before we realized what was with all the random ashes that were falling on us. We all had peanut shell dandruff.

Leaving a huge pile of peanut shells (or, indeed, throwing them at fans of the opposing team) is a part of baseball that I never get tired of. It's baseball tradition, like the the extra-innings beers we buy at last call during the 7th. If we're behind, we hope we get to drink 'em in the 10th. If we're ahead, we'll chug 'em in celebration when we win.
