When it comes to sweet treats, it doesn't get much simpler than a sugar cookie. But this basic biscuit is also incredibly versatile, which is what makes sugar cookies so much fun.

1That reminds me of a newspaper article a couple of years ago about a woman in New Hampshire who, during the summer, baked cookies on her dashboard in the office parking lot for afternoon snacks.
