I love tomatoes but my brother absolutely refuses to eat them raw (or even cooked, a lot of the time) and my uncle says he hasn't eaten anything with tomatoes in it for years.
My favorite part of summer is picking up tomatoes from the road side farm stands on the way down to the beach. There's something about sun-warmed produce that makes it taste so much better
than straight from the fridge.
Yeah raw tomatoes are too bitter or something and i hate hate hate the texture- I'm totally okay with cooked tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato sauce, salsa . . . ok I'm crazy haha!
I agree with KaiLynLyn completely, warm and fresh picked from the vine are amazing. I love tomatoes any which way they come though. My mom would eat tomatoes like a person eats an apple as a
child, and passed her love for them on to me. It also helped that tomatoes were the one crop we could virtually guarantee would do well each year in our little garden.
I always liked tomatoes but I fell in love with them in Italy. I've never found any that were so good since. The sandwich guy in my office laughs that I ask for extra on my sandwich each day!
My favorite snack at home is a few campari tomatoes sliced and sprinkled with sea salt. Mmmm!
I love them when they are underripe and tart, and when they are perfectly ripe and rich. What I don't like is tomatoes that are tasteless and squishy, which usually comes from them being
stored in the fridge.
I love them too, but been kinda if-y about eating them because of the simanilli break out. I've always loved the cherry ones :^) they are a great snack. lynne i feel you on the sandwhiches i
though my mom was just the only one who made veggie blt Bread Lettce Tomatto
Richmond has the best tomatoes...Hanovers are big, juicy and delicious. I made Gazpacho just last night. my husband and i go through at least two tomatoes a day...either cooked in a recipe or
just raw with some oil and vinegar. mmmmmmm
I have three different types growing right now - fried green tomatoes are to die for.
My grandfather was a farmer and his crop of toms grew right outside our sliding glass door. Nothing better than a hot tomato!(in more ways than eating). I'm drooling right now and I think
I'll go check on my toms.
love tomatoes- raw or cooked- however if they've been cooked and they are still whole, I can't eat them until they've cooled down. I hate hot tomatoes. how strange.
My green zebra toms are coming right along. It's the 1st time I've ever heard of them them. They don't turn red, they are green striped. Oh my, I can hardly wait.
love, love love. But if they are raw, I prefer the gooey crap taken out (or for it to be minimal.)
Raw with some Maldon salt is nice, or a drizzle of balsamic and olive oil.
But really I am a cooked tomato person..passatas, peeled, chopped, spiced, in salsas, sauces, soups....as far as cooking goes I consider it absolutely essential.
I love tomatoes!! I'm a Jersey girl, and NOTHING compares to a fresh ripe New Jersey tomato (right off the vine, still warm from the sun.. oh man). They are amazing and taste like sunshine. I
love tomatoes in all forms, cooked or raw, grape or heirloom. But I only eat tomatoes when they're in season! Those sickly peach-y colored tomatoes in the grocery store in the winter are
terrible and they tarnish the name tomato. Did you know that they gas green tomatoes to turn them red? That's why the color isn't natural-looking - and why they taste so bad!
I only like home grown off the vine super red tomatoes or the small grape tomatoes. I won't touch an orange tomato or eat them in the wintertime, I've been like this since I was little.
I've been making roasted ones like mad lately; a little olive oil, S&P and then fresh herb springs if I have them. It takes a couple hours to make them and about 10 minutes for the bf to
eat 4 tomatoes. Tomatoes also make a grilled cheese.
No no nooooo. My dad always teases me - "How can you be Italian and not like tomatoes?!" - but I just can't do it. I think its the gooey seeds. I like tomato sauce, but I don't eat any
chunks. Just not for me.
I hate them in every way. I don't even like tomato sauce on pasta. THe only thing I kinda like is salsa if it's real garlicky. I know, I know I am weird. I even hated them as a child.
i love tomato EVERYTHING. Caprese salad, tomato sandwiches, salsas & sauces. cooked, raw...it doesn't matter. the funny thing is that i never used to like them as a kid (except as pasta
sauce & ketchup).
i even LOVE the way the leaves on tomato plants smell!
Mostly I only like them cooked down in sauce for pasta or pizza, the only way I like them raw is in what my dad calls Summer Salad - grilled, peeled Cubanelle peppers, cut up tomatoes and
finely chopped garlic in oil and vinegar.

This soup ends up being a good source of three blood pressure-lowering minerals since the milk adds calcium and the potatoes deliver a dose of potassium, as well as magnesium.
This is my favorite time of year. Tomatoes galore!
cheers,
Angela
1Yum! I like them every which way, they are fabulous
2mmmm I love fresh cute ones with salt and pepper and a tad bit of extra virgin olive oil!
3I'm really picky about tomatoes. Sometimes I love them & sometimes the texture really bothers me.
4love em!
5I can't eat raw tomatoes. Just can't. They make me gag. But cooked ones are alright.
6I love tomatoes but my brother absolutely refuses to eat them raw (or even cooked, a lot of the time) and my uncle says he hasn't eaten anything with tomatoes in it for years.

9i like tomato sauce but not tomatoes
10Nothing like a fresh caprese salad with basil and fresh cheese!
11I would hate life without tomatoes.
12mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. caprese. i love it, but i hate that they cahrge you like $9 in a restaurant for some tomato and mozzarella with balsamic vinegar.
13I love tomatoes!

15I AODRE tomatoes and nothing can compare to a fresh tomato right off the vine. Yum!

I love them in all shapes and colors, cooked or raw.
18I only like tomatoes on some hamburgers, in salsa, spaghetti sauce, and bruchetta.
19i loooove them. i used to eat them picked fresh from my backyard garden growing up.
20i never could understand why some people can't stand them!
Only in ketchup. And my red sauce has to have a certain sweetness for me to like it.
21Love may not be a strong enough word. I think my feelings towards homegrown tomatoes in the summer are more like an unquenchable lust!
22Love them, too. My favorite are cherry tomatoes to just pop in the mouth.
Did anyone else ever make tomatoe sandwiches? Bread with mayo, sliced tomato and salt...mmmm, one of my faves from when I was a girl!
23Garden tomatoes from the farmers market, yum!!!
24I love them!
25I love them too, but been kinda if-y about eating them because of the simanilli break out. I've always loved the cherry ones :^) they are a great snack. lynne i feel you on the sandwhiches i though my mom was just the only one who made veggie blt Bread Lettce Tomatto
26Love Tomatoes especially raw with just a little bit of salt. Yum!
27Richmond has the best tomatoes...Hanovers are big, juicy and delicious. I made Gazpacho just last night. my husband and i go through at least two tomatoes a day...either cooked in a recipe or just raw with some oil and vinegar. mmmmmmm

29Yuck! They're tolerable when cooked and flavored by something else, but they're so gross when raw.
30mmm... tomatoes...
31love tomatoes- raw or cooked- however if they've been cooked and they are still whole, I can't eat them until they've cooled down. I hate hot tomatoes. how strange.
32Love em both ways, especially in sandwiches though :3

34sorry for the double them - I was giddy over my garden.
35i like salsa and ketchup... but not tomatoes alone!
36I love tomatoes every which way except sliced in a sandwich.
37i dont know if i could live without. i eat them pretty much every day.
38love, love love. But if they are raw, I prefer the gooey crap taken out (or for it to be minimal.)
