From spice grinders to immersion blenders, electronic appliances make whipping up sauces, soups, and soufflés a breeze. While many gadgets have a specified use, others, like the food processor or standing mixer, are versatile multitaskers. Whether it's the espresso machine that makes your morning coffee or the ice cream maker that freezes your frozen treats, everyone has that one kitchen appliance — the tool you rely on to make you a better cook — that you just can't live without.
So, spill the beans: what's the one kitchen gadget you cannot live without?

Food processor and coffee maker.
My mini george foreman. I use it everyday for breakfast.
My toaster and microwave!
This week's upper 90s has me very thankful for the ice maker! But the appliances I would replace immediately, if they suddenly quit, are the coffeemaker and microwave.
espresso machine because my fiance needs it to function in the morning . . . food processor for making salads.
Coffee maker! The toaster comes in second.
Definitely my toaster oven. I cook a lot of things in it that people wouldn't expect. Also, my food processor since I love making fresh pesto.
Blender for my smoothies!
My Cuisinart Egg Cooker. I make soft, medium, hard boiled eggs, poached eggs in that sucker all the time. It beats guessing when your eggs are just right! Nothing better than the PERFECT soft boiled egg.
My oven! Everything else can be improvised but now that I just moved out of a flat that had a huge oven into a new one THAT HAS NONE i've realised what I truly would die without.
I can't live without my food processor!
My indoor grill/griddle. I LOVE it!!
My blender. Can't live without my smoothies. They handle lots of breakfasts and snacks for us.
My VitaMix Blender - I used it everyday.
KitchenAid mixer, love baking!
George foreman and the pineapple peeler from williams sonoma- all you do is cut the top off the pineapple, stick the contraption on the pineapple and twist, then pull up and it comes out with no core, no outer part and it's in cute little rings like canned pineapple rings.
My microwave and George Foreman grill.
The microwave and coffemaker.
i don't know if this counts, but i couldn't live without a great set of knives.
My rice cooker. I know, I know. Why is it that the only ones of my friends who know how to make stovetop rice are white? I think it's because the Asian ones grew up with rice cookers and never actually had to learn. I would stop making certain dishes if I didn't have a food processor or a toaster oven, but I'd pretty much stop cooking if I didn't have a rice cooker.
My mini chopper...I love it!! I have a tiny kitchen & it doesn't take up much space while doing an excellent job.
It's so boring to say, but I couldn't live without my oven!
Chopper from Pampered Chef. I know its not a real appliance, but its so freaking helpful.
Definitely my Kitchenaid mixer.
kitchenaid mixer and french press
microwave! the BF cooks ALL his food in it- ha!
My rice cooker and my wok (ok, not an appliance but I still wouldn't know what to do without it)
tie between coffee maker and microwave
my Crock-Pot! I may not use it everyday but it's such a time saver! Next would be my KitchenAid mixer, followed by my immersion blender.
My KitchenAid. I've had this discussion before with my MIL and we both agreed.
I recently downsized and tossed/gave away everything except a toaster oven and high-powered microwave. Even the coffee maker was replaced with a french press model. I love being more 'free' in the kitchen, and not weighed down with appliances I used just once a year.
I use my toaster oven and coffee maker most but I love my slow cooker.
KitchenAid mixer!!!
My coffeemaker and my KitchenAid mixer...well, I could adjust if the mixer went kaput, but I would definitely replace my coffeemaker as soon as possible if it quit working.
I can't think of anything that I absolutely couldn't function without except my oven.
I enjoy the convenience of a microwave, blender, mixer, etc, but I could make do without them if I had to.
Coffee Maker and BBQ, for sure!
my mini chopper and my coffee maker definitely!
My custom built gourment kitchen - designed by me, created by hubby. Okay just one - rice cooker.
Tie between my KitchenAid and my food processor.
Oh I would die without my coffee maker!
My Foodsaver vac machine. I can make large batches of food, suck up individual portions, and freeze them for later. That thing has more than paid for itself. If anyone tried to take it from me, there would be some severe bloodletting!
I don't know if it's an "appliance" really, but I LOVE my salad spinner. I hate wet lettuce, and the salad spinner just dries it like nobody's business.
My little Italian "Bialetti" espresso percolator. No more of that watery stuff!
My rice cooker...i totally suck at making rice in a pot.
definitely the kitchen aid mixer. when i got it for a xmas present, I thought it was a luxury and now i know it is a necessity.
My cheap little red teakettle, and my not-so-cheap KitchenAid stand mixer...I actually brought it from the USA and use a transformer to power it here. (not only are the even MORE expensive in the UK but you can't find a black one, so I am glad I did!)
My KitchenAid stand mixer.
rabidmoon - when I was a student in England, my best friend (originally from Long Island) did the same thing with her KitchenAid. The transformer she had was loud and obnoxious (much like her - awesome!) and her housemates always complained. Thing is, they also devoured everything she made with that thing.
Haha, Shoneyjoe! Well..I must be lucky, the transformer I have just buzzes softly...I have had it about 6 years now, it hasn't let me down yet, even in Europe..
American stand mixer plugged into British transformer with European adapter on it.
I really have to stop moving.
First, my KitchenAid Mixer. Second, my Food Processor (also KitchenAid!),
