A couple of weeks ago I found out that the majority of you prefer to drink wine instead of beer. So now I want to know what kind of wine you favor: red or white?

White/rosé in summer, red in winter. I'm all about vinho verde these days. So refreshing!
I love em both. It all just depends on what I am eating. :drink:
Thursday night at a bar, I ordered a glass of "your house pinot grigio" along with a Yuengling for my boy. I saw the bartender get the beer, and then reach off the top shelf and get a bottle and pour red wine into a glass. I was like, "thanks.....". I don't dislike red wine. But I only like it on occasion. That occasion is not usually July 31 amidst the heat & humidity of Tennessee. I was REALLY craving a cool crisp white wine.
Oh well!
It really depends what I'm eating and my mood!
I'm all about Pinot Grigio!
Uptown - you didn't order it - why pay for it? It's not wrong to politely point out that your order was wrong and ask for a fix!
pinot grigio is my drink of choice right now too! great minds think alike.
My fav is Sauvignon Blanc ~ yummy and grapefruity.
I drink wine to pull out different flavors of what Im eating. Otherwise I dont touch it!

I prefer the taste of red to white; however, red gives me HORRIBLE headaches. So I usually drink white.
I don't drink very often, but when I do it is only white wine. Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, or Vignier (spelling?). Delightful!
I only drink reds, white wine gives me a nasty headache. The only exception is occasionally I'll have champagne or sparkling white, but honestly can't have that much because of the headache factor. If I need something lighter to go with my meal, then I have beer.
red
It depends on my mood. I've been drinking a lot of white wines lately--lots of Vinho Verde and sauvignon blancs. And a rose every once in a while. But some months I drink nothing but reds. I guess the summery weather makes me feel like white is lighter.
That and I've been cooking up a lot of seafood.
Yeah... I just feel like a *bi-atch* if I do that... Now, if I couldn't drink red (I know people who get migraines from red wine) I would of spoken up. I'm fairly easy to please.
For all you Pinot Grigio lovers, Barefoot Bubbly has a sparkling pinot grigio! I've had it before, but I can't really give you a review, as I had already had a few other drinks before we popped the cork on that! But I just remember liking it!
Just gimme a glass of whatever you have on hand. I like some reds a little chilled like a sangria - I know the snobs can't handle that but that's why I do it.
I don't care for red wine...it's too "thick" tasting, and I like my beverages cold. (I even put ice in my milk and beer!) A light white wine is ok every once in a while with a nice meal.
I love both red and white wine. At the cheaper end of the scale, I'll usually take red. Cheap red tastes a hell of a lot better than cheap white, which usually seems like white grape juice flavored with turpentine. But at the upper end of things (ie. when my friends are buying), both are delightful. At business functions, I usually go with white, as red stains my teeth. Then again, at most business functions, I have beer.
I pretty much drink medium bodied reds. I can be persuaded into drinking medium bodied dry whites. Anything too sweet or too spicy gives me nasty headaches.
Ohh.. but I did have a really nice semi-dry rose on the wine flight last month. I can't remember the vineyard though.
Usually red..
I was just having this convo the other day... I am really only familiar with white wines. However, I am trying to persuade Brina to be my red wine guru
I drink red--mostly Cabernet Sauvingnon, sometimes Pinot Noir. Whites I usually find too sweet for my taste.
i'm a red wine drinker - when i was younger i drank white and never liked it - it's too sweet and i figured that all wine kind of sucked since that did. but now my fiance and i drink wine all the time, and we're red wine drinkers - and happy ones too.
There is a time & place for each.
Hey uptown_girl I reviewed the barefoot bubbly! For being moderately priced, its quite good.
I appreciate both reds and whites. Right now I am in a Riesling/Alboriño phase. Oh and I've been into making wine spritzers with sparkling water and wine.
I like my drinks cold so I usually prefer white. I love rieslings!
I like all types of wine. I'm in to discovering different regions and taste.
It really just depends on my mood. But I only drink dry wines, for some reason I really dislike sweet!
I usually do white wine. Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Reisling, Chardonnay, Vinho Verde, you name it I love it!! But every now and then I love a nice Chianti or Cabernet!
I'm a red wine girl, but I do drink white depending on the occasion/meal. My current collection is about 90% red. Mostly Zinfandel
I love fresh, cold white wine and it tastes even better with seven-up on it!Yummm
I've had some delicious reds, but I of course can't remember the name of them, and I definitely have to be in the mood. I prefer white over all but can appreciate a red in the right situation!
