On a recent dining adventure, Joe at Serious Eats passed up the carnitas tacos in favor of a taco filled with chapulines, a variety of grasshopper that is a prized delicacy in Oaxacan Mexican cuisine.
As long as I didn't think about where it came from, the sensual description of the chapulines as "crunchy, nutty, and slightly salty" had me craving one! Are you grossed out by the thought of eating an insect with a crunchy exoskeleton, or does this delicacy appeal to you, too?

7I second Le Luxe.
8Not in a million years, I dont do insect
9bugs are not on my list of acceptable menu items. i'd sooner eat dirt.
10Sure. I mean, what's the worst that could happen, right?
11thank goodness i'm a vegetarian so it's not hard for me to answer that - but i think that it wouldn't eat it anyway! i'm not into the whole eating bugs thing - it's just not my cup of tea.
12No way!! Sick!
13I actually have had chapuline Enchiladas down in Oaxaca. There are different size grasshoppers that range in size from Saffron to huge 6 inch ones. I had the nice dainty ones. They are sautéed in chile and garlic so that is basically what they tasted like. Crunchy... this was the only reminder I was eating an insect. I recommend lots of Tequila!
Cheers,
Angela
14I've had them as well, and think they are a better source of protein than beef or pork. They taste very good.
15NO! even LOOKING at bugs makes me grossed out.
16I'll try them.
17how exciting! i was the 100th vote! i'd try them if i wasn't the only one. someone else would probably have to try it first!
18I've had these- not bad, not great, either. Just crunchy.

20That makes me want to throw up...totally gross.
