From allspice to cayenne pepper, spices are essential to even the most basic kitchen. While I've accrued more and more spices over the years, I certainly haven't amassed more kitchen storage space. I've decided that I need a set of spice jars, or a spice rack, to organize everything methodically and efficiently. Let's set off to market for a range of spice jars that are as decorative as they are useful. Bookmark your finds in the Yum Market with the keyword tag Spice Jars. I'm excited to see your finds!

i haven't taken a look at the book yet, but i will- however i wanted to mention something that i saw on Flip that house or one of those similar shows. the kitchen was being redone (of course) and they had such limited space that they created a special pull out drawer type thing in the corner that was designed ONLY for spices. it was a great way to use a small space and it was really organized.
1We just use old plastic spice jars from Walmart, taping labels on them.
2I really wish we had a cool spice drawer.
3Skip purchasing spice jars (and the hassle that comes with transferring spices) altogether. You can actually use spices in their own bottles from the grocery store by purchasing an empty spice rack. I like the SpiceStack - its a good spice rack for the kitchen cabinet (aka doesn't take up a whole drawer) and the drop-down drawers keep everything organizing and easy to find. Priced at $29.95, the SpiceStack is a heck of a lot cheaper than most bulky spice racks out there.
