3Oh one of the dramatic tragedies of my life. I developed a sugar cane allergy a few years ago while doing a lot of work in the tropics. I was bringing back rum from all over the caribbean, latin america, and south america and couldn't drink it. Le sigh. I knew the Hemingway one because I lived in Florida and frequented his bar in Key West a few times a year.
