On today's date, Sept. 15, in 1995, the tan M&M was replaced with the blue M&M. Updating the colors of the M&M's is nothing new; years earlier, tan replaced violet as the newest M&M color. My grade school teacher taught percentages with M&Ms. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is common practice for teaching fractions as well to kids. Bribe them with candy.
And my Quality Management professor taught an entire lesson around a bag of M&Ms too. Money well spent.

7i should feel ashamed of myself... i only got 5/8, and m&m's are made less than a half an hour away from where i live. (not to mention tons of my friends' parents worked for them when i was growing up.)
has anyone else tried the new m&m's premiums? it's a weird experience to eat an m&m without the candy coating.
8Yum, I totally feel the same way. I loved tan. I voted many times (at my local movie theater) for no change to the colors. You could vote no change, blue, purple, or something else I can't remember. Tan was my favorite.
9A few months back, Yum or Party mentioned something about Mint M&M's. I've been looking like crazy for them ever since, but haven't been able to find them in Minnesota. Does anyone know if they are still around?

17Fuzzles, they sell mint M&Ms at Christmas time every year (Target always seems to have them around me). They come in holiday colors. I buy several extra bags every year, and then break them out in the middle of the summer when the mint flavor is refreshing! My family loves these M&Ms the most . . . Everyone gets a bag in their stocking on Christmas morning.
18I'm doing a project on M&Ms. I have to give a speech and a power point presentation too. "FUN" huh? Any of u know some interesting facts? That's the last part of my speech.
