i read the story a few days ago about how we should consider leftovers as an economic relief but i still can't bring myself to eat them - or enjoy them. lucky for me i don't eat that much anyway, and my fiance does - so he can eat the leftovers and we can save a bit of money that way.
1I love leftovers because they're a great alternative to eating out or bringing a sandwich (ick).
I vote for gumbo as something that always tastes better the next day!
2Here's another one: when I've ordered Chinese take-out, I usually end up not eating much of the fried rice. The next day, I'll stir-fry the fried rice up with whatever's left over from my entree. That always ends up tasty!
3We have leftover night in our house (once a week) and I love it - kinda like an ethnic smorgasbord.
4We're not talking leftovers people, we're talking about making a double recipe so that you can savor the flavors and also take a lunch or cook less often...saving energy.
5thanks for putting these up! I love to cook - but once a week is enough; having some extra servings left over, particularly when they get even better with time, is great for me!
6Curry always tastes better the next day.
