An honor of winning the most Olympic gold medals of all time is getting to grace the cover of a cereal box. This morning Kellogg's released the first images of the Michael Phelps Corn Flakes cover. Come Fall Phelps will front both Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes boxes.
Normally athletes are featured on Wheaties boxes, but this year Phelps's agent, Peter Carlisle, decided to go with Kellogg's.
I find the cover inspirational and patriotic and definitely prefer it to the image of Phelps on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
What do you think? Will you buy a box of Michael Phelps Corn Flakes?

I'm not a fan of either cereal, so this won't make me buy a box. I am entertained that it's news that he'll be on the Corn Flakes box rather than Wheaties, perhaps he just likes one over the other? I read somewhere that he'll also be on the box of Frosted Flakes, now that I might buy!
1Like Yum, I definitely prefer this photo over the SI cover.
He looks yummy, makes me want a big ol bowl of cornflakes right now LOL
2I am buying a box!!! I would buy one even if it was grape nuts!! lol
him!!!
I heard about the frosted flakes too! I might buy 2 of those!! yummy
3Shop where are you?????? lol

Lene! I'm here!!!
lol
5There she is!!!!
6Now that is a pic!!!!!!!
Wow...photoshopped much? I wonder if they shrunk down his arm so it would fit on the box.
7I'm not a fan of cereal but this is really cool. and I agree that it's partiotic.
8the frosted flakes on emakes sense since he's such a junk food junkie!
9what i like best - and no offense to Wheaties - is that it's a difference cereal. i think that there's a lot of value in putting an athlete on another type of cereal even if it's one that has sugar in it. i'm confident that they will see a lift in sales for a few weeks at least - and i'm all for it.
that's quite the great endorsement deal huh? Phelps really is bringing home the bacon so to speak.
10super awesome pic! seriously a good choice!
11that thing belongs on photoshopdisasters! OMG, it's terrible!
don't get me wrong, i love phelps, but come on, that's some bad photoshoppin'.
12It needs more ABS!!
13Definitely, I wouldn't mind looking at Michael Phelps while eating my cereal. I like corn flakes better than wheaties anyway.
14Yeah, his arm looks really short. (Well, it looks normal length, so really short for him.)
And I prefer the SI Cover. But that's just me.
15Cute!!
16definatly gonna but one and then after i finish the cereal i will frame that box!
17buy*
18U S A -- U S A!!!
19That does look oddly photoshopped. The water doesn't look right, and his hand on the ropes looks weird, too... and his outstretched arm does look too short. Weird!! Ugh I hate how photoshopping is everywhere and makes everything look fake and advertisers think that we want it.
20His right hand looks like an afterthought.
21I want to buy but it would just be one more *thing* I don't really need... **sigh**
22If you were an athlete, wouldn't you rather be on a box of Wheaties instead? I would. It's just more timeless.
23Mmm, I love the box! Not a big fan of Kellogg's though.
24hell i want a box of him
25I would buy it more as a keepsake for the shelf. We do the same with the "commemorative" cans/bottles of coke and such. I definitely wouldn't open it.
26I have these old Pepsi cans from 1996 I believe and the liquid in them completely evaporated.
Just a random comment.
27I am going to get this definitely! something to have for my children someday!
28Ick no.. i dont care what the swimming ascociation says i strongly debate one of his races.. plus i think hes a bit ugly. Id rather look at the rooster on the normal packs
29What will Kellogg Company say to the world if someone uncovers a photo of one of their executives or board members smoking pot when they were younger, and posts it on the web? I don't have such a photo - I'm just curious. I haven't smoked pot since 1983, but I'm sure there's photos of me out there getting high.
30even though some people are alcoholics and crack heads i havent even tried alcohol or any illegal drugs in my whole life but inm only 18
