As Starbucks's dominance slips, I hope more people will turn to local coffee shops for their daily caffeine fix. The number one thing I love about my neighborhood cafe, Murano, is that the cappuccinos come with a pretty foam heart. In my opinion, the best coffee drinks are made with love, and latte art of any kind demonstrates a true passion for coffee-making. How about you: Do you appreciate latte art?

i have never seen latte art in the uk, we have caffe nero which makes a half hearted attempt by using a metal stencil and sprinkling chocolate powder but it just ends up a messy blog
Wow in Ontario this is unheard of! I love it!!!
that's beautiful!
These are stunning!
Haven't seen this in Toronto Starbucks...very cool.
I think its cute
I haven't seen it in person (I'm not much of a coffee drinker) but
the pictures are cool =)
I never drink coffee, but if I did, I'd totally go to a place that did coffee art! The monkey is great!!!
These look awesome. I'm afraid I'd be too amazed to want to drink them and ruin them =X
why would anyone hate these? they are fabulous!
Cute!
Wow! Who knew latte foam would prove to be such a great medium? Amazing! I love the goddess face...what detail!
How could anything with coffee be bad? The monkey is so adorable, I'd be so excited if I got one of these coffees. I'd definitely take a picture
I also love when the bartenders do 4-leaf clovers on the foam of a Guinness!
I love this, so pretty. And alikat07 that's awesome--4 leaf clovers on the Guinness foam!!!??!? Too. Cool.
i love it. i think that it's a really cool thing to do and for myself - it's just hard to drink your latte when you have something soo pretty
I love it!
I've had hearts drawn in my drinks at a local coffee shop.
I think it's nice and interesting, but frankly the barista doesn't need to go to the trouble as I'm going to wreck it almost immediately.
I love latte art and have some skill in this area myself. I am, however, a bit of a purist and think that it should be made through the use of the pitcher, long handled spoon and the milk and foam alone. The use of syrup, cocoa powder, stencils, etc. is too contrived and overdone.
Who wouldn't enjoy looking at these ?
I'm wondering the same thing as the others... how would anyone not like these? They're cute! I love them.
I think Starbucks should start training their baristas to pimp-out their coffee! It's the only coffee shop within a 20 mile radius of my home whose coffee doesn't taste like mud.
the monkey is awesome.
Wished I went someplace that did it! It's very cool!
Those are gorgeous, but they'd just make me feel bad once I start drinking and ruin it.
Being mildly lactose intolerant (and generally intolerant of milk in my coffee), I would never order something that gave someone the ability to draw in my foam. However, has anyone seen the latte printer? Check out onlatte.com for a pretty amazing look.
i mean not for my morning latte on the run of course- but if i was just chillin at a coffee shop with some friends, i'd love it if my latte was presented to me that way- how pretty!
o and i love the clovers in the guinness foam too- that totally makes it even better lol
I love it!! I wish I knew where I could go to get a latte like this. I've never seen one in real life!
whats not to love???
