Labor Day weekend means food-happenings galore. At front and center is Slow Food Nation '08, the country's first ever slow food event, to be held in San Francisco. I'll be in attendance, so I can learn more about eating sustainably. Locals, perhaps I'll see you there! Here's the lineup; enjoy your long (and tasty) weekend.

Wow, how interesting! Thanks for the SF info. A classmate of mine a semester ago gave a speech about the slow food movement, and I've been intrigued with it ever since.
1Taste of Madison is this weekend too. Yumm.
2I am so jealous of everyone participating in Slow Food Nation this weekend. I wish I could be there. Even being at a taste of Colorado would be awesome. However I am traveling to Indiana and will be at a Blueberry festival to run a 5k and eat berries with cream.
3I'm so bummed I can't go to Slow Food. Especially because one of my fave bands Ozo Matli is playing there. If you can check them out.
4Nothing better than the mix of
SHRIMP
and
PETROLEUM!
(Morgan City, LA is my hometown!)
5Shrimp and petroleum...yum!
6Ha, Syako, that's what I was thinking. I'm from La too but sadly my town doesn't have such delicious sounding festivals!
7it's our money makers!
Liz, you need to go to the festival, at least once, it's priceless. There's a boat parade on the river that's pretty fun.
