Naan
Persian for "bread," naan is a staple of Northern Indian cuisine as well as Pakistani and other Central Asian cuisines. The round flatbread is made of white flour, leavened with yeast, and cooked in a clay oven. The elastic dough can be mixed with ingredients, such as meat, potatoes, chickpeas, or spices.

Naan bread is so so so so freakin' good! Any time I go to an Indian restaurant I get hoards of it. It's so addicting, and delicious1
1i was watching Exile on MTV last night and they were having naan - i think. otherwise it was on college jeopardy that i saw it. regardless - i like that you've shared this. i thought i knew that it was slightly different from pita - but not what cultures really eat it.
2I'm officially hungry ... which might not be good for the beginning of Ramadan when iftar is not soon enough.
3Everyone is always raving about it, but I've never tried it. There's just not much cultural diversity in food around here.
4Trader Joe's has a frozen version that is delicious - I like to keep it around and use for mini pizza's - perfect for flat bread individual pizza's!
5This stuff is ridiculously delicious!!!
6Persian for "yum!"
7Naan is so yummy.
8If I could marry Naan, I would.
