I love the vinegar trick. I've used it for years and it works perfectly. I showed it to my Nana this summer and she had never heard of it before.
1I like Tabasco, but I never give tequila a shot. Not since the lost weekend of 1997...
2Tabasco Tequila? I must sample this creation.
I was laughing when I read the article about the beer glasses. My guy friend did that the other day at this pub because he wanted an authentic Guinness glass.
3In England, a lot of the pubs are supplied by specific breweries who will stamp their name on their pint glasses. When I came across a particularly intriguing glass, I asked the waitstaff if I could buy it off of the establishment, and have never been turned down. It usually cost me a couple pounds, £5 at the most. And they always went in the back and gave me a particularly nice one on which the logo was not too worn. The place that charged me £5 didn't have any paper to wrap them in, so they rolled them in bar towels, which they threw in for free.
So now I have great glasses complete with memories of my time in the UK. Funnily enough, my little brother (also studying abroad) stole his, but came home with Stella Artois, Fosters, and Strongbow. Please tell me we're not actually related.
4I noticed your link about the fruit flies. I cannot wait to do this tomorrow. We have had tons of them around our trash bin and they have been sneaking in the house when we go in or out. This seems easy enough and I hope it works.
