Last time I went to the store, I spotted these doughnuts in flavors such as Hawaiian Punch, Orange Crush, and Dr Pepper. At first, I was curious and somewhat puzzled: Why would anyone think to pair soda flavors with doughnuts?

Ultimately I'm not sure what to think of this concept; I'm inclined to believe that food and beverage companies are running out of novelty ideas. Have you ever come across these doughnuts?

At our local grocery store they have little soda flavored cupcakes. My daughters got the Dr. Pepper ones, but every time I'd give the girls one, they wouldn't eat it. And my kids will eat anything sweet! I'm not a Dr. Pepper fan, so I didn't try them. I'd probably try a Hawaiian Punch flavored donut though!
Perhaps one bite, out of curiosity, but I certainly wouldn't finish one.
no - i'd have to pass on that - i think that i'm not much of a fan of doughnuts anyway, but soda flavored - yea...gonna have to pass on that
Not a huge fan of donuts (cake donuts being the exception) or soda. The pairing of the two just doesn't seem super appetizing.
Last time I went to the USA with my husband, we bought an Orange Crush cake and a Cherry Dr. Pepper one at Wal Mart. We had more fun taking pictures of them than eating them. Ew. Seriously, they were almost glowing in the dark.
I would try it (better then fish heads!) but I probably would think they are way too crazy tasting!
I think they would be disgusting
It's making me sick to my stomach just imagining the flavor!
I'm definitely curious enough to try one, but I have low expectations on actually liking them.
we had the soda flavored cakes around here too a while back. i was working at a bakery, and for fun we bought one to try. it was rather disgusting.
I wonder what the reasoning behind this was - "Donuts are too darn healthy, let's combine them with soda"?
Soda-Flavored Doughnuts? I love soda and do like doughnuts but I'm not sure that the combination of the two sounds so good. If a friend bought them and offered me one, I'd try it. But for now, I'll be staying away from it.
no that sounds disgusting.
i would try them, but store-bought donuts are normally stale and nasty anyway so i don't think they'd be particularly appetizing
i assume they are just "cherry" and "orange" flavored, which is already something available at donut shops
this cracks me up!! is the healthier version then pop??
i'd try a bite..but thats it..
Soda cakes are pretty popular around here, especially 7Up. I'm not a big fan of them, but I would probably still try a Dr. Pepper one.
I've tried the Dr Pepper ones before and I wasn't too sure it tasted that special. I love donuts and love Dr. Pepper so I thought it might be a hit. But I wasn't impressed.
It sounds gross, but sure, if you paid me I would try one--although, not the Dr. Pepper ones, because I can't stand Dr. Pepper.
I certainly wouldn't buy a whole box, but if someone had some I would try one.
i love donuts, but not with soda. ick. give me some cash and i'll eat them though. ^_~*
I love trying new, weird things like this...but these might be too weird!
nooo! i saw these at the store the other day, who would pay for them!?
This is creepy and wrong. Do. Not. Want.
i would think that the orange ones would be ok, but not the other ones lol.
i think if i had seen them in the store i would grab some... lol
