An overwhelming majority of you felt Lisa Garza should get her own show on the Food Network, yet she was the only finalist on last season's Next Food Network Star to walk away without a deal.
Now the food and media world is abuzz with rumors that the Dallas restaurateur scored herself a new show on CBS. When asked about the rumors, Garza reportedly stayed mum, saying she "can't afford to screw it up" by saying anything to the media just yet.
If this rumor turns out to be fact, I'm curious to know what type of format the show will use. Would you watch this chef on her own show, even if it weren't on the Food Network? Stay tuned for further details.

I might check it out. Although I don't find her particularly appealing on a personal level, I do think she has a good eye for beautiful food!
1I'd watch. She put me off at the beginning of the show, but I really felt like she was taking the criticisms to heart and learning how to be more approachable as time went on. I think she had the best knowledge and skills of all 3 finalists and has the most to give to me, as the viewer.
2I couldnt watch it. Her eyebrows, haircut and eyes drive me nuts! LOL
But...she is a great chef
3She reminds me of Posh if she ate.
4SugarCat, too funny. But you have to add, if she smiled.
I find her strangely appealing. Her eye makeup, etc...kind of bothered me but in another way I can't stop looking at her. Mainly to figure out what the heck she's got going on with those squinty eyes.
But overall, she seems sweet. And she CAN cook.
5I liked her, but her appearance is severe. Those eyebrows are kind of kooky. And oddly mesmerizing. I don't know if I'd watch or not, but her show would have a better chance than those other two dude would have.
6i really liked her. i really hope she gets her own show!
7Nope...she really bugs me.
8well i guess it would be nice for her to get her own show -but i'm thinking that i'll wait and see before i speculate. it's interesting that the other 2 got shows and she was left i the dust. i don't think that she was overly compelling to watch but if CBS thinks so - then good for them and i wish her the best.
9I loved Lisa Garza! I was really angry that Aaron won and that Adam got his own show. WTF??? She was a way better chef than the both of them put together! Yay for Lisa!
10They need to take the heavy petting nauseating Neely's off the air and replace them with Lisa.
If i have to listen to them moan at eachother one more time i will personlly send the Food Network my vomit.
11Her show is going to be called "Pity Party"?!
Anyway, when one is really good at something, one usually enjoys what one is doing...I never got that feeling from her, all she wanted was to win, no matter what. Some people people keep against her the way she looks, or dresses or even what she says, I say maybe she can't help with those. But a true foodie would first enjoy cooking...and if he/she happens to win, oh well, he/she will enjoy that too, but in that order, not vice-versa.
12That would actually be great--I don't get Food Network because we don't have real cable! We only get the major networks, so something on CBS would be fabulous!
13Commenting on a blog at FoodNetworkAddict, I think that the combination of Sandra Lee and Lisa Garza on a cooking show would be nothing short of phenomenal !!! Teaming the Semi Sweet Hottie with the Semi b*tch Diva would be unbeatable !!! And, it would give Lisa the chance to realize her dream of hosting a "back to basics" cooking program. I know that Ina Garten has laid claim to this premise, but as long as she continues to use ingredients like truffle oil and champagne vinegar, her claim is bogus !!! Also, teaming Aunt Sandy's alter ego of the home fashion designer with Lisa's fashion sense (note her line of designer aprons) could add a whole other level to their team !!! And, anyone who doubts their cooking credentials also thinks that a night at Mickey D's is the perfect evening out !?
14Rock On Lisa !!!
Yes, Lisa Garza was cheated from winning on the Foodnetwork. This is one big reason that I do not view the the food program much especially the Next Food Network Star. She was cheated Big Time! That is she was the best chef the season in question and should have WON!
