The brand Nestlé is synonymous with chocolate bars, frozen meals, and those delectable Toll House cookies, but it's possible that the company may soon be just as recognizable at the cosmetics counter.
The world's largest food and beverage company has introduced Glowelle, a beauty drink that proclaims to have antiaging properties.
The bottled drinks come in two flavors, raspberry jasmine and pomegranate lychee, and are available for $7 a pop at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman department stores. The blends claim to "nourish and hydrate the skin from within and help fight free radicals, known contributors to the signs of aging."
This drink is just the latest in a bevy of supplements that have hit the market. I've always been perplexed by beauty drinks: do they work? Have you ever tried a beauty supplement in the form of food or drink?

I tried a sample of the pomegranate flavor at NM last weekend and, well, to put it mildly, I wouldn't drink it if it promised perfect skin and was free. It tasted like watered down perfume, and I felt bad as the rep handing out the samples wanted an instant review. YUCK!
1Yes, fresh fruits and vegetables.
2my beauty treament i drink is a lot of water, as for store brought i never knew these exsited, youth in bottle okay..i wouldnt try it.
3I heard NM called Needless Markup and it is so fitting. I'll just drink POM or my own pomegranate juice.
4Why oh why? Seriously? Some people will by anything. I have a friend who buys Smart Water. I told her she wasn't so smart....I get my water free. LMAO!
5i think that people are willing to buy into almost any fad and this is just another example of that. there may be benefits to what's in the drink - but i think that it's all about how they are marketing it - and well, i have a feeling that it's going to be a fad and not necessarily a long lasting product. we'll have to wait and see i guess.
6Got a free sample of Glowelle beauty drink mix (Natural Raspberry Jasmine Flavor)form Neiman Marcus. Just mixed it up according to instruction and was slightly startled by the deep red color. Was very taken back after the first sip: indescribable taste, defiantly not pleasant. Tried a couple of more sips and it just got worse: doesn’t taste like raspberry, no scent of jasmine (tea?); just lots of artificial taste. Dumped everything down the drain and ate a toffee to rid of the after taste. Save your money, drink plenty of water and eat your vegetable and fish
7Well...I would totally go for it if it wasn't being sold in department stores. I just hate that. It seems...odd. I suppose I'll give it a whirl, though.
8I Tried For A Few Weeks And Loved it. Im Defenintly In!
