Strictly speaking, I prefer other brands of ramen to Top Ramen, but I've never enjoyed the kind that come in their own styrofoam container. I also love to customize my ramen, so that's
another strike against the cup style.
I don't like noodles or soup, but when I did, or at least got over my dislike enough to have some ramen, I would get the Cup noodles. The rest of my family eats Top Ramen, but I like(d) the
veggies in it.
The last time I had some, maybe 11-10 years ago, they had kid-sized Hello Kitty packs. Perfect size, not too much noodle, not too much soup. It still took me a year to eat those two cups.
I'm not much for the Noodles Cup because they always put those gross veggies in them and I have to waste five minutes trying to get them all out. Plus, with the ramen in the baggy, I can put
anything in there that I want. So delicious.
Who cares if cheap! plus not everyone has a asian grocery store nearby nor an asian market where they live...., they are very convenient and easy. I love the noodles in the bag, the ones in
the cup taste tasteless & really are a waste! haha. I like it that they created these things, very affordable for anyone, quick and tasty and I love the Chili and Shrimp ones (plus you can still put something extra in if you want
which I do.
Either is fine by me. I've got some of the cup ones right now, for anyone that cares, if you just open the cup and dump, most of the weird veggies fall out and you don't lose much of the
powdery tasty stuff.
This is just one of those cheap things we get when we're dirt poor. You can get them for like ten cents sometimes, nothing beats that.
Neither, there was a time that I had Ramen for over three years. It's a good value when your short on cash or poor but now I can't even stand the smell.
When I was in middle school, I'd have a dry, plain packet of ramen for a snack for quite a long time. I don't know why I liked it so much....maybe I just liked crunching the noodles!!
I love ramen. Sometimes I just NEED it. I don't keep it around because I'll eat like three a day if I'm in that kind of mood and it's a lot more sodium/fat/everything than I like to think it
is... but yeah. I've definitely had PMS runs to the store where I get like, pints of ice cream and half a dozen packets of ramen!!
Creamy Chicken Ramen w/ a little butter and garlic...YUMYUM! It's funny, I never thought I would touch it after college, but I still crave it every so often.
Top Ramen!! I have a steady income and good job and I still eat this stuff. my favs are Roasted Chicken and Oriental...yum yum! just so good especially now that it's getting chilly in
California
Lol... Carrothead! I did the SAME thing... I would sprinkle the flavoring packet over it and eat it like it was a bag of chips or something! I haven't done it since middle school... now I'm a
Maruchan junkie...
Top Ramen ... I can't stand Maruchan brand! I rarely eat them anymore - besides being unhealthy ... being broke and practically living on them kind of put an end to that meal, haha.
Top Ramen, but eating them for lunch and dinner everyday for almost a year when I was with my ex-husband kinda cured my desire for them. I still get a craving once in a blue moon, but my
hubby now is kind of a food cop and asks me not to eat it because of the awfuls nutritionals (high sodium/cals). The one thing I like about the bag as opposed to the cup thoough is that you
can put as little of the flavor packet as you like so there's less sodium.
I prefer the pnes in the packets as you an cook it and add stuff to it to make it yummier.. i dont eat it that often but i like having it once a month.. and yes.. the mi goreng is delicious..

1I prefer Sushi than them but they are the same nearly
2I would rather just cook up some instant rice and throw some frozen veggies and spice to make something better.
3the vegetables in cup ramen are gross so definately top ramen.

7Neither. If I want ramen-style noodles, I get them from an Asian grocery store. They come in more interesting flavors.
8Yuck, these cheap brands are gross. I'd rather get noodles in the Asian markets. They have a lot of variety and are must tastier.
9MR.NOODLES are best!
10I'm a Maruchan kind of girl
11I don't like the Styrofoam taste you get with cup of noodles. Plus, it's really wasteful.

17Yummmmmmm, I love Ramen noodles, especially when I am down and out(emotionally and finacially).
18I just ate some Ramen noodles... they're all gross to me. But desperate times... calls for a $.25 meal
19Neither, there was a time that I had Ramen for over three years. It's a good value when your short on cash or poor but now I can't even stand the smell.

24What? This is YUMsugar - doesn't anyone know the glory of Shin Ramen? It's an amazingly spicy and flavorful chili ramen - very good with sliced pork

28they are both sooo unhealthy that i couldn't imagine picking either one. i would rather just have hot water rather than the sodium laden choices here.
29Top Ramen ... I can't stand Maruchan brand! I rarely eat them anymore - besides being unhealthy ... being broke and practically living on them kind of put an end to that meal, haha.
30Top Ramen baby, Shrimp flavor!
31Nong Shim!

37shin ramyun!
38These are cheap brands, and can have bad things in them.
