Get your team spirit on when planning the look of a tailgate. I always cheer on my alma mater (Go Bears!), so blue and gold are the featured colors. Start by setting up a long folding table near the back of your car. In my case, I'll cover the table with a blue tablecloth and set out a vase of yellow gerbera daisies. Yellow paper plates and napkins are festive and easy to clean up. Serving the dips in a snack helmet is sure to get your guests talking. Arrange chairs in a circle around your tailgating area. Temporary tattoos make a fabulous favor. How do you decorate for a tailgate?

Blue and Gold all the way! Go Bears! =) I would only provide mustard and no ketchup... hehehe
1I use reusable plastic picnic dishes...you bring a large tupperware container, and put all the dirty dishes in them when you're done. It's sealed air-tight so no food smells saturate your car during the game, and you don't worry about cleaning anything until the next morning. [Also, I always bring a garbage bag for any beer/Coke cans and bottles -- gotta take them home to recycle.] The plastic dishes not only end up looking a lot classier, but it's way more eco-friendly. A suggestion for next time over the paper plates and tablecloths!
2Roll on you bears!
3i think that tailgating can be fun if you set it up right and you've really given us a great design to do it. i'm used to going places with a whole bunch of guys who are more about getting wasted than getting into the experience so at least i can do something to make it a bit more fun for me
4Deidre..you could also compost the paper plates...which is what we do at work when we have parties here!
So glad to know there are so many Bears out there! GO BEARS!!!
5Go Bears!
