For the past seven years, FoodNetwork.com has been one of my favorite recipe resources. As long as I can remember, the site has been a welcoming green color with golden accents. Imagine my surprise when I logged on two days ago and discovered a totally new Food Network! The green has been replaced with red, and there's a lot more going on: polls, videos, behind-the-scenes tours, top 10 lists, etc. I love the new In Season Now section, but haven't warmed up to the layout. Have you had a chance to check it out? What do you think?

The new layout is soooo much better than the old one. The old one would always take ages loading up on my computer. Now browsing is so easy and I am seriously loving it.<3
1I found this new layout really difficult to navigate. i went on to search for a recipe and ended up having to go through several options before i could find anything.
2This looks suspiciously like Food and Wine.com
3I actually saw this last night when I was looking for a pizza dough recipe and thought it was a holiday template they were using or something. I don't know how I feel about it.
4i'm still a bit undecided. i think that the FN needed to upgrade a bit although the site was pretty interactive before. i guess that i'll just have to tool around it a bit to see what all the new features are to make a real final decision on whether it's a good thing or not. i'm sure that with the upgrade they are able to lure more advertisers to the site which is something that networks are always trying to do.
5I miss the green!
6It looks so much like the site belonging to Epicurious now. It is amazing to me how they seemed to not understand the importance of their website until recently. It was a bit Dark Ages. Let's just hope it's faster---ugh!
7WOW! I hadn't noticed the change so I just popped over and I can't believe the green is gone! Now there's red, wth?! At 1st glance, with the way it has the recipes organized now, I thought "great, now it looks like plain old Kraft" LOL but I will reserve judgement till i really get to check it out... don't want to be unfair or anything
Besides, I did see that it has lot's of quizzes and ideas and comments posted that the old
site didn't used to have.... those look neat.... I just hope it still has SEARCH and RECIPE COLLECTIONS BY THE COOK because if it doesn't....well, I will just cry. Seriously.
8OMG, LOVE the new site!! I just watched the TOUR and I am seriously loving the Alton John recipes, bio & pictures!! I tooled around a bit and so far I am loving it all...especially that they still have my beloved recipe search bar and even better chef recipe collections!
9I don't use it that ofter, but my Mom used it almost every week. She says now it's hard because the recipes aren't organized like they used to be, where she could just click on Tuesday's Rachael Ray or Wednesday's Emeril and see what the recipes were on the specific day she had been watching.
10I like the cleaner look, but I miss the easy navigation of the old site. Maybe they could fix that.
11I've always had issues with the FN site... Their previous design did seem a little "old"... there were inconsistencies throughout and it reminded me of a design from about 6 years ago... but I haven't explored the new site enough to really know if is an upgrade. It looks better visually I think but I'm not so sure about content and navigation.
Btw, speaking of problems with their site...check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdMDdLwuCyA
