Taste Test: New Starbucks Items
Signature Hot Chocolate ($2.95-4.10)
The Signature Hot Chocolate line is the latest beverage to hit Starbucks stores, with original hot chocolate, salted caramel, and hazelnut flavors. I sampled the signature hot chocolate, which was creamy but completely lacking the richness and depth of other gourmet hot chocolate on the market.
Original has 360 calories, 18 grams fat, 5 grams fiber, 11 grams protein, 35 grams sugar. Salted caramel has 420 calories, 18 grams fat, 5 grams fiber, 11 grams protein, 51 grams sugar. Hazelnut has 390 calories, 17 grams fat, 5 grams fiber, 11 grams protein, 46 grams sugar. All facts based on tall size made with two percent milk and no whip.

Mmm...I want to try these!
1I LOVED the salted caramel hot chocolate. So yum! It had a dark chocolate taste which I adored...
2Crazy sugar amounts...mine at home has too much, but not that much! Especially without including whip. And the prices really go up to $4.10?
3omg are you crazy? Starbucks has the best hot chocolate out there. I long for winter when I can bundle up and walk down to my starbucks for one of these!
4I think the hot chocolate has gotten better ... it used to be too strong and bitter to be enjoyable.
