Nice ripe pears! MMmmmMMM!!!
2LOVE apples when they are cooked (apple dumplings/crisp/pie or fresh with dips), but prefer to eat fresh pears.
3I like oranges instead.
4I think you may skew the vote with that wonky pear photo.
5I prefer peaches.
6i actually love to eat apples. i think that they are easy cheap snacks that you can get just about anywhere in NYC and that's one of the reasons that i like them so much. i'm a fan of granny smiths or pink lady's though - so if i can find those, they are my first choice!
7pears are fruit made of sand and though they smell sort of apple-y when cooked, they taste like poisoned apples (or how i would image poisoned apples would taste).
(i do not like them)
8Apples! Not a big fan of pears.
9Mmmm... apples.
10apples!
11I chose Apples, but like pears only when they are 'green' (not completely ripe).
12I like pears, but I never eat them. No clue why. Eat apples all the time though so I voted for them.
13I like Grannie Smith apples.
14Apples, pears are too gritty. I only put pears in salads.
15
I eat both, but generally, I prefer pears. To me, they taste sweet and floral.
When pears are in season and ripe, they win hands down. But a mediocre apple tastes better than an equally mediocre pear. I equate them to wine: I love a gorgeous and buttery chardonnay, but I'd rather drink cheap red to cheap white.
They're both delicious, of course.
17Although I love, love, love pears... if I could only eat either for the rest of my life it would have to be the apple.
18I'm craving some pears right now so I voted for pears.
19
Both, I like fruits.
Pears are ok, but the texture is less than satisfactory for me. I'll eat them but don't expect me to crave them anytime soon.
21depends, i LOVE those asian pears that are crispy and brownish and YUM.... but fujis rock my world tooo!!!
22These are two of my favorites! I usually alternate. I buy one one week and the other the next week. Keeps me from getting bored with either.
23Lychees, definitely.
24Apples especially the delicious genetically engineered Honeycrisp Apples that are out right now.
I like pears but only after the gone overripe.
25Pears are so juicy!!
26For an everyday fruit I prefer bananas!
27Apples...
28of the choices, apples but I love the smell of pears!
29Pears are my favorite!!! I have no concept of the comment that pears are like a poisoned apple, I just don't get it.
30Pears with cheese! Yumm
31both makes for sweeeeeet bulgogi!
32i look like a pear yet i still like to eat them lol
33Apples! Not a big fan of pears.
34Nectarines!
But given the choice..apples, I don't like that wierd pear texture.
35i like tropical fruits like mangosteens ,mangoes , lychees, Longans and rambutans!!! lol. thats what happens if you grew up in a modest asian 'village'. apples and pears become and acquired taste!
36
I love both. I like apples more because they're easier to cut/slice and nibble at. Pears have to be eaten in one swoop
not that I mind though, especially if it's a nice juicy pear.
I had never seen a honeycrisp apple until saturday. made apple muffins out of them and some apple (dunno which) from my tree in the backyard. the combination was a sweet yet tangy explosion in the mouth. i have devoured nearly the whole batch -.- :pig:
37An apple, a pear, a plum, a cherry....any good thing to make us all merry....
38apples but I only really like fresh picked apples that are rock-hard and bruise-less - LOL picky I know.
39Both?
40I adore both but if I HAD to pick I'd be all over an Asian pear
41Both are so good. I have apples every day and pears only occasionally so I always think of pears as something special.
42Apples 100%...pears are too grainy for me. I also like the tartness of apples (well, certain varieties, I suppose) and how versatile they are.
43peaches!
44mangos!
