The other day I came across an online store that carries cucumber molds. Apparently, cucumbers can now be sliced into cute hearts, stars, and other shapes. Seeing this new Japanese invention reminded me of the square watermelon, another fruit mold designed in Japan to make watermelon easier to stack and store.
While fruit molds are entertaining, I'm not sure I'd ever want pyramid mangoes or heart-shaped cantaloupes in my supermarket; the unnatural shapes would simply be too weird for me to eat! What are your thoughts?

Moncler
Gucci
Prada
Weird...
1it's not genetically modified so i don't see the problem
2it's kinda cool
I think fruits are beautiful in their natural form. Why mess with that?
3I think the Mickey Mouse ones at Disney are really cute.
4I'm torn.. Why mess with a good thing? Then again, I'd prefer they make fruit molds rather than genetically modify them. It's kinda cute for entertaining, but not for everyday consumption
5maybe for a party but not to sell in the store everyday.
6Easy!
...I did get the answer correct right?
7My grandpa used to make square and rectangular veggies and fruits. He had a whole green house full of these little plexi box wrapped produce. He was doing this like 20 years ago, ahead of his time I guess.
8why?
9I think it could be pretty neat looking.
10I had a biology teacher in high school that used to make square pumpkins and he'd bring them to school and make these pumpkin castles for homecoming decorations. It was super cool. I'd totally grow square pumpkins and heart-shaped cukes. That'd be so awesome
11why not?
12I've never gotten to see them in person so I'm really not sure
13Love to look at, might be wary to eat lol But I def think they are interesting
14I agree - fruit should be left to their natural form. Apparently square watermelons in Japan don't taste good at all and are only used for display. They cost USD130 a pop, too. Only in Japan!!
15Almost said Hate it..then saw those cute little hearts & mind started wandering to all the possiblities!
Undecided now!
16good food is like a nice walk on the beach at 12 at night. Its to be savored, not devoured. The sweet flavors can not be enjoyed to their full potential if they are consumed too beastly. If you have a food hangover then the wondrous colors of flavors have not been enjoyed and savored. meeshkeesh is for meesh um num num num
